Lets hope the bottom of the 12 the bats finally wake up.
Wow. What happened to Emilio Bonifacio? Back to back 4 hit games to start the year. Pretty impressive.
Barmes you stink.
That double play it was funny on the MLB network Harold Reynolds was beside himself that they overturned that one. I guess the neighborhood rule is not reviewable but I guess if there is an errand throw that could be. If they consider Walkers throw to be errand then every 4-6-3 double play if I was a manager I would be out there wanted it reviewed.
So, the Pirates got screwed twice on reviews last night...Marte's HPB and the double play that was overturned.
Yeah, no idea how they missed that one.
It hit the catchers glove. There is a replay angle where the bat and ball path are parallel to each other, and the ball is 3 inches below the bat.I was at the game and it sounded like the ball hit the bat. I didn't see the best replay on the scoreboard, but you could hear a sound of ball hitting bat when the pitch came in.
Not sure if anyone may know the answer to this.
Marte got hit in the first and then Rizzo got hit in the second and both benches were warned. Is it then up to the discretion of the umpire for ejections? Rizzo was hit again later in the game and two Pirates (Mercer & Martin) were hit but no one was ejected. Does anyone know the rules after warnings have been issued?
