Oh.
More good discipline from Pedro as he draws the walk off of Russell.
Who would have thought Ishikawa would be hitting so well.
Pedro alvarez looks like a really confident and professional ballplayer this year. I think he's my new favorite. His baserunning has been really good too.
Crossing fingers this is a new and improved Pedro and not just starting on a hot streak Pedro, because he looks like a professional hitter up there.
I've liked his baserunning for a while now. He's not fast, but he's aggressive and he hustles.
I'm with you. My prediction of an 81-81 season was predicated in part on a decline of offensive production this year, but if Pedro and Marte continue to show composure at the plate and Ishi performs better than expected, then they will be fine and playoff-bound again.Pedro is making me reconsider the offense. I was hoping he would continue to make incremental improvements but his body language is different. I don't even care about the stats right now. He looks like he has transferred over to the "confident professional" camp. I used to think of him as belonging to the Walker, Jones group of "occasionally good" but he has been just about McCutchen good so far this year.
Improved or not, "Starting on a Hot Streak Pedro" is still a "new" Pedro.
