Now we have a G/W/C finish. Bayne and Almirola are probably still running in to each other.

It wasn't Almirola this time but somebody ran into Bayne-again.

Busch or Truex will win this, the outside has no chance.

Harvick had a terrible re-start and Logano, Truex, and Busch blew by him.

Let Kyle get this momentum out of the way before the Chase.

Harvick seems snakebit a lot like last season, but hopefully like last season, he gets it together in the Chase.

I'd be pissed if I were STewart because of the poor strategy.

But any race Jeff Gordon finishes 42nd is a good race IMO.

Am I the only one that finds it interesting that since Kyle came back, all of the Toyota ' s are running better? Even the MWR cars are running a lot better.

Busch wins and he has won what, three-in-a-row? Swept the week-end. On we go.

And if this is one of NASCAR's biggest races, I have to wonder who dropped the ball at Hendrick.

I'm glad someone did, but still, it was strange at Indy to see all of their drivers running mid pack pretty much the entire race. I don't think Jimmie Johnson's car was ever even shown past half way, and Jr's wasn't until he spun out.

It's these races that you normally see Hendrick show up big. Nice change of pace.

Toyota was down on power considerably (amongst other things) at the start of the season and have poured lots of resources since early Spring to getting things turned around. It's starting to pay off.

Was anyone listening to Stewart's radio? I want to know if it was Stewart himself or if Johnston made the boneheaded decisions to go into the pits so much after his pit stop on lap 133. He had the fuel to make it to the end and had no damage on his car that I was aware of, so there was no need to go back in there as much as he did. As a result, he kept losing more and more position and before you knew it, he went from likely having a solid top 10 finish to 28th and the last car on the lead lap at the end. Something has to be drastically done on that team to turn them around and I bet anything that Tony regrets letting go of Grubb after he won the Cup back in 2011.

Whatever strategy Tony was going with, apparently Danica was also. They both had very good runs going, Tony had a top 5-10 car, Danica had a top 15 car, and they both dropped like a rock at the end of the race. Here is a lap summary of what position Tony was in:
Tony-

Lap 20- 5
Lap 30- 6

Lap 120- 20
Lap 130- 25
Lap 140- 25
Lap 150- 24
Lap 160- 23

Was talking to a certain someone last week about the chase bullshit....

Response was if Kyle makes the chase he did what was asked of him to do to get himself there and he deserves it for that reason. But, it is a slap in the face to the guys who grind it out week in and week out to get where they are, for what they deserve. The biggest fear with owners is, will drivers take time off after getting the win to qualify them for the chase??? Will sponsors cut teams off of funds after race 26 and that team don't make the chase???

He said the top brass for Nascar is making champions look like just the lucky guy, in the right place at the right time. You got a guy like Harvick who has been on a blistering pace, but could lose to a guy who was out for 2 months, and by all means shouldn't be competing for a title, but will be. Nascar no longer awards the best and most consistent, they award the guy who has the luck that week.

Spot on Psych-Ward. And so doing, they nearly completely removed the competitiveness that made the sport so much fun to watch on a weekly basis.

The Captain said what Nascar believes is good for the sport is rapidly degenerating it. He said from a fans stand point, the product being put out is not good. Sponsors are unhappy due to the fact that if a team has a win, they gamble at the remaining races, to try and pick up an edge, and as soon as a team gains that edge, Nascar changes something, such as the car package. So 8 out of 10 times a car that should be running up front, is running mid pack because they were not acclimated to the new changes. He also said that pretty much every week there is one change or another to the cars, weather it be shocks, down force, there is always something. They only tell the fans when the change is noticeable to the cars appearance, then they can't hide the change to the fans.

This flippin' braindead idiot Brian France is going to completely destroy a once proud, thriving, and competitve sport at least at the cup level. He is completely in over his head.

KB has won 4 (tied for the series lead) of the last 5 races. Don't know how anyone can justify keeping him out of the chase if he's won as many races as anybody. I can't justify keeping him out because of an injury when he's won 20% of the races run so far and almost 1/2 the races he's started.

Personally I think the chase sucks, but the old system sucked too. Race winners should get a huge (50 or more) points bonus, not the measly 5 pts better than 2nd place. We all want to see more guys going for the win instead of playing it safe to get some points, I think this is the way to do it.

He's not far off. The attendance looks like its sagging still at every track they go to. I still don't understand why they moved the Nationwide/Xfinity series race from the Lucas Oil Raceway to the Indy Motor Speedway. I watched part of that race on Saturday and it hardly looked like there was 5-10 people at the whole track.

You might be right UVA. Bizarre stuff going on over there at Stewart Haas.

If he had just mimicked what Harvick was doing, he definitely could have had a top 5 finish and maybe kept that confidence he had after the solid qualifying run he had. I understand blaming the crew for Sonoma but this one is either on Tony or Chad.
