[sarcasm]If Cravens was a DT instead of a safety, we could have gotten 2 1sts for him. And then we could draft 3 DT's on the first round - which only makes sense except when it doesn't - which it never would. Third base.[/sarcasm]

For all the talk of D-line and safety

Bruce is going to draft Ridley if he is there at 13.

If that is true (no way of knowing) do you think that this is unique to the Redskins? Are you sure that the Broncos have never done something along these lines? This sounds like more of a flaw with the NFL in general and not the Redskins. I remember several other teams doing things worse than this over the past few seasons. This is where the league needs to audit things to clean this up everywhere.

I would say it isn't a league wide issue. Yes there are other teams other than the Redskins that are lying to players about injuries but there are also other teams that know having a great training staff is a huge selling point. In fact over the last several years the Broncos have had many players say a big reason they signed with the Broncos is because they have a trustworthy training staff. The Broncos have prided themselves on having the top of the line training staff that has helped a lot of injury prone players revive their career and be able to stay healthy for entire seasons.

It's not out of the question. Gruden in his last interview talked about a run of QBs going early could help them get a DT, RB, CB, or WR. He listed those positions verbatim.

I still bring it up because that trade by Bruce and Dan, is what has brought us to the Alex Smith era ultimately.
Which is no idicement on
Not really... Alex Smith is good for a 6-10 record at best if saddled with the talent and injuries we had last year. If the team stays healthy and improves, I think they might hit eight wins, but it wont be because we got Smith, it will be in spite of his style of play.

Now after the draft, I will tell you where I really think this team sits. And for the record, I dont think it will matter which Defensive player is there at 13 because if Ridley is there, I expect Bruce to make that the pick any way.

Of course it won't shark...:suds:

Ask yourself one simple question....

Would there be all this Alex Smith love in Redskins Nation.... if we had signed Johnny Manziel??

For as much as people were pumping the line that ANYONE could have done what Cousins did, they brought in the ultimate bus driver.

WTF man...Who is giving AS ALL this love your talking about? You are so bent on how the organization treated Cousins (as am I) that you can't let go and accept the fact that your team let the QB you love walk and traded for his replacement. Johnny Manziel couldn't hold Cousins or Smith's jock so no point bring Johnny Foozball into this. I really haven't heard or seen much talk at all about how, "anyone could do what Cousins did", but you sure bring up these points often. Let AS make his own way on his new team. Let Cousins do his thing in Minny. It's over dude, no sense in continuing to salk my friend. It's all good...

From 2012 to 2016 the skins have drafted. 41 players . Only 11 are on the roster. We have been mediocre for the past 25 seasons and make the playoffs every election cycle or so . You tell me what the issue is ? Drafting quality and keeping it is right up
There . And we have people defending 396 day in and day out

Would liked to have gotten more this guy, but glad we got something.

I’ve never been a huge fan of 6th-7th rounders. Who knows... maybe we can package some of these extra picks to move up a bit higher in some of the middle rounds?
Chase Roullier is a 6 th founder and hosley is a 7th . 2 upgrades I am told

Scherff, Preston Smith, crowder, kyshoen jarret, doctson, sua, fuller, ionnidis is a pretty talented group of players in 2 drafts.

Talent is one thing. Production is another.

Scherff - Yes. Should be a life long Redskin or close to it. He's been made to look bad a couple times. He's also looked overpowering and dominating himself And in one of the somewhat recent draft debate of Scherff vs L Williams that take place on the board. Scherff is winning imo.

Smith - I like him, but he's streaky. He needs to step up in terms of consistency. With a better interior line he will I believe. Had a sack every for 4 weeks to start the year and 4.5 sacks after 5 games. He fell off the map at the most critical stage of the season though and didn't bust a grape for the next 5 weeks. Maybe I'm mistaken, but I think he has 12-15 sacks and a big play or two a year potential

Crowder - I like him as well and he's proven he belongs in the NFL. He had a terrible start to the season though. Possibly even epically bad. He rebounded nicely in the latter half. Not sure what that first half of the year was all about, but I hope we don't see that again.

Jarret - Can't say he's a bust, he might've been a stud, but unless he comes back and balls or is a blue collar type. He's always gonna be a woulda coulda shoulda.......

Doctson - I like the kid, maybe more than most. He deidn't have top speed, but he can skywalk and he can make tough catches, but...........his catch percentage last year 35/78 or 44.8% was atrocious. That needs to improve, it'll help if he stops dropping too many passes he should've caught.

Sua - Maybe unique in the way that it happened and maybe these things happes to every team. I'm not a fan of every team though and this shit seems to happen too often to the Skins.

Fuller - Possibly the most talented of the bunch, he belongs in the NFL. Fat lotta good it does.

Ionnidis - He needs strong interior DL play as well. Has some skills though and with good key players. He can be a contributor.

Scherff - a stud. All you could ever ask for from a top 5 pick.

Smith - good young pass rusher. Agree he's inconsistent but still getting better. For a 2nd rounder he's been great.

Crowder - very good young wr. Absolute steal for a 4th rounder

Jarrett - obviously a shame he got hurt and that ruined everything but he played excellently. Another absolute steal just was ruined by a freak injury.

Doctson - a disappointment so far but I still have hope. It's only year 3, he's been decent with flashes of excellence, and he basically medical redshirted his freshman year.

Sua - looked like a solid player. Freak instance that we can't blame on SM got in the way of another great pick.

Fuller - fantastic young player and pick. That good a player with a 3rd rounder is a steal and a half.

Ionnidis - was legitimately very good when healthy last year. Dude was a 5th round pick. Him just sticking on the roster makes him a good pick. Him being an actually good player is awesome.

Moral of the story that's 7 picks that met or blew expectations out of the water in 2 years and 1 (Doctson) who hasn't yet met expectations but is still a decent player who may yet meet those expectations.

That's great drafting.

Is this par with the league or below par, and I think to keep talent you really know a player after 4 years .. I like what the skins are doing

I think it was Doug Williams who said this breeland wanted 10 mill a year so you look at all the cb in NFL that make 10 mill is that player worth 10 mill
