Stunning that a sport that was introduced to Phoenix a hell of a lot later than the N. USA might be behind in registration numbers.

You know the best way to show support how strong a fanbase you are?.. Buying tickets and going to the games. As much blame as the city of Glendale deserves, the non existent support over the last 6-7 years is as much to blame.

You know what a great way to build a fan base is:

Having a competent fucking owner. Or an owner period.

Well we haven't had a competent owner with the Leafs for years now yet, still sell out. Losing is never fun, but a love for hockey should be enough to bring people out to a game and see all the stars of the league. Love for hockey is clearly something not enough people in the Glendale area had.

Forgive the profanity, but I'm exhausted and 1/2 of my day at work has been dealing with the GWI interview I did, various posts on multiple sites and my never ending twitter battle.

Your point is well taken, even if I think it's an apples to oranges argument. (Toronto just doesn't have the same amount of competition for the sports dollar, isn't trying to "Grow" the sport and isn't dealing with the same sort of economic issues).

These are good points, but most of these conditions are not going to change in Arizona.

I disagree. Fans have shown they will show up in droves for a hockey product when coupled with 2 things:

1. Stability.

2. Success on the ice.

We are 1 for 2.

Per the other stuff, c'mon man? You are telling me the economy isn't going to rebound in AZ? It will. And for the love of GOD don't tell me that hockey isn't growing in AZ. It is. Come on down and I'll show you.

Ed Zachary. Someone's too busy being a victim to see it.

I also didn't appreciate his victimized comment.

I especially like this one. So you're saying your entire fanbase is fairweather fans? I'd buy that.

If you are indicative of the average fan out there... they should leave, like, tomorrow.

What's your youth hockey scene like? Are they as passionate as a high school player in the desert?

Everything

What a post. You attacked me the entire time and didn't address my central issue with your Raleigh vs. Arizona post.

If you're indicative of every Blue Jacket fan, you should sue your high school!

Better yet, if you haven't been to AZ and you don't know what the fuck you are talking about- THEN DO ME A FAVOR AND ADMIT YOU DON'T KNOW AND SHUT THE FUCK UP.

The only time the building seems to be full is because of other fans showing up from opposing teams. Phoenix has had more than enough chances. Strike 10 you're outta here!

I think everything relevant that can be said has been said on this thread. Should it be locked?

Just some kids having a bit of some harmeless fun is all.

Sometimes it's good to argue on a topic, makes things more interesting.
