Sounds like we need to unload players and build for next year.
I'll say this about Diggs today, he was clearly game planed today and lucky #5 couldn't play after the first TD.

THAT EFFORT AND AWARENESS on the other TD had give-up written all at the very worst, OR it's a Texas high school training play on how not to play this formation at the very best.

I would think about sending his ass to Carolina.

I do think the Cooper is better than Dak talk is silly. But I also think it's fair that whether it's the 4-1 stretch when Dak went down to the game to day, it's also fair to say that of a backup QB can come in and even play comparable football, then we might have been fine if they had a plan to go younger and cheaper than $60M at QB with an option that wasn't on the couch
Dak was terrible in this game.

Analytics…
Gotta say - between the Aggies analytics debacle last night, the Cowboys choices today and the Eagles ridiculous insistence to abide by them, they drive me batshit nuts. I can hear Tom Landry or Vince Lombardi or Don Shula or Chuck Noll or Bud Grant or John Madden…

Take the damn points.

Rush was really throwing the ball well. Hammy's are tough to come back from in a week, he may get the ball next week
I just don't know what to say about dak. I really want to like him and this game wasn't horrible like others but I don't mind him being on the shelf. This season ain't gonna get better so in the grand scheme of things, a game or two that we may win with him in, ain't worth it. The investment is too great. Let Rush start a few games and see what we got. Then throw in Trey to see what he can do. Who cares as this season is pretty much done. I don't want to give up or anything but reality is reality.

Penalties hurt us bad. I thought Dowdle, Turp and a few others gave it all they had. The defense forced 4-5 punts and had a turnover. Only problem 4 TDs . Thought they played hard though. Bijan is a hell of a player.
How many first downs did we wiff on in this game? Penalties played a big part of that, like every fucking week. Dan Quinn may have needed the boot but we oversold ourselves on Zimm. I wasn't a fan of MM after the first year.

Whoever let 88 back on the field needs a stern kick in the Jimmies.

Good game today guys

We didn't play very well but i figured losing London early would be tough since he's such a big part of the offense and losing Grady hurt the run D but overall i was happy with the D in general

Offense was just ok. Kirk played well but still has a few plays each game where he looks off. I think we didn't use Tyler enough on the run game in the second half as we should have but in total being 6-3 is right about where i figured we'd be through 9 so can't complain too much

As to you guys i as on record before the season stating i didn't think you would make the playoffs. Paying Dak as a mistake. He's good not great. And you can't pay a good QB like an elite QB because then you can't afford to put the kind of roster around him you need to to compensate for what he can't do

It is obviously a tough decision as Dak is still good and you're unlikely to find someone better in FA or the draft short term so it's s rock and a hard place but to me i would've rather have gone 6-11 with lots of upside long term than 7-10/8-9 with no way to get better

Dak had several runs that were nice to see and he had a decent % most of the way through.
It was interesting to me that the first game he ran a couple of times he pulled his hammy. Additionally, his footwork this year has ked to inaccuracies. I know his percentage was good, but he only three two passes beyond 6 yards. I think he may have been having trouble with that leg

Something seemed off with Dak. The accuracy not good.

Way too many pre snap and other penalties probably led to some of those shorter throws. Seemed like it was 1st and 15 or 2nd and 20 way too many times. The Jones are such fools. Jerruh just now getting concerned?

This is another loss where they get behind by double digits and come back during garbage time to make it appear close . This game was not that close. Cowboys got out coached yet again. The passing offense stunk today and I did not see any Deions in the Falcons defensive backfield.

Or...maybe he got paid. The "we fucking suck" comment might be him letting Jerry know he's pissy about the lack of effort in FA when we have $20M in cap space. I wouldn't be surprised if this hammy takes 6-8 weeks

Not a good look to have your leader saying that. And when he makes up 30 percent of the payroll, he needs to look in the mirror. In bottom 1/3 of QBR. WORST in interceptions and his worse rating as a pro in a year he is making the most money in the league.

They should have waited on Daks extension until the off season.. I was on the "don't sign Dak" bandwagon.

Funny you mention 6-8 weeks. Have you noticed how slow this team is to bring back their injured players this season? Bland was supposed to be back a few weeks ago. I also thought Parsons would have been back by now.

Senile old Jerry still confident they will turn it around. Lol, what an old fool.

I totally buy the podcast I heard the other day that said Jerry didn't want to resign Dak and Stephen wore him out on it, so Jerry is just like, go earn your money Franchise QB.
The only reason I was against resigning Dak was I knew Jerry and Stephen would hide behind the cap, which they are. They can be at $80M in space next year with two restructures, nearly $100M if they release Steele post June 1. They have all the room they need to sign Micah and anyone else they want. I'm hoping after this abortion of a year, Jerry goes back to trying to win, but I strongly doubt it

Hammering Dak's contract everytime this team loses is lazy.
I'm not hammering his contract. I don't give a poot what he makes. I'm hammering the owner for hiding behind it when he could easily create cap space if he were willing to pony up cash, which he isn't. In other words, caring more about making money than winning. I'll hammer his ass on that till one of us is in the ground or he goes back to trying to win

I think Dak speaks for all of us at this point…

Maybe it’s me but over the last two years I don’t really know if Dak is much of a leader at all any more. He got his money and that seemed to be all he cared about. He seems to have issues with our best offensive weapon on more than one occasion and maybe it’s not the two defensive stars alone that seem to have an issue with him. I think he has started to lose the team if not lost them already. When your 3 highest paid players (Dak, CeeDee and Diggs) all seem to be the ones who care more about themselves than the team it’s a big problem And when the best player on your team (Micah) seems to be more interested in commenting on everything and promoting his podcast and screaming “look at me“ everyday it makes me wonder whether these guys even care about football or just see it as a 9 to 5. At least Micah and CeeDee are still playing at a high level. The other two just stink and it makes me wonder if more than just the season has been lost with this team.

oh and if the HC hadnt already lost the team Jerry made sure he ripped it apart by coming into the locker room to make the post game speech last game. If only our incompetent owner and his son knew they were the problem we’d have a shot to turn this around
