It was a tough one. Those interceptions killed us all year and like all year there were so many poor decisions throwing the ball today when/where he shouldn’t have. I don’t want to hear anyone try and say it was a tipped pass Warner caught. It was a bad decision to throw that ball. Ward should have had it. Dak didn’t even see him. We need to go to a quick release offense. We need to simplify things. We can’t keep doing what we have been doing. One good game, one bad game gets you nowhere in the NFL. Yeah of course Pollard going out changed everything, but Dak just needs to be better on the mental side of things too often for me. It’s just over and over. maybe we need Wade Wilson back? I don’t know what else we can do. something needs to change. I will give him credit for when he tucked it and ran. I thought he made a couple great decisions to keep drives going. I think his character is off the charts and I think that is very underrated in todays sports world. I also think the lack of a kicker put a little pressure on him. He knew he needed to take a couple extra chances where normally we’d maybe go for 3 and he’ll never throw a teammate under the bus and say that. SF has a tough D. They are going to make plays.

One thing I was happy as heck with was that we absolutely didn’t get out physicalled today. We punched them in the mouth over and over. Maybe just one too many weak spots or injuries but that is life in the NFL. This team put on a much better performance in the trenches than they did last year on both sides IMO. This wasn’t a hang your head performance.
Our defense is just as good as theirs. That's saying something

Man, Rush is terrible. This is a Super Bowl caliber team. Thats why they won with Rush in there. They came up short because Dak isn't that guy, but he's about a thousand times better than Rush
And he will rightfully be the starter here next year. The question, in my mind, is do you extend him next year or look to go a different direction. I know some folks are terrified of doing that. I'm not. Dak has trade value. If you trade him after next year, you'll save what will be $50 million a year against the cap and add at least a 1st round pick. I would be willing to give that a shot if we could keep the rest of this roster in tact. The team that beat us today was using their 3rd QB, a 7th round rookie. And believe me, all that talent around him helped him outplay our $40 million QB.
I never said Rush was better. Just said that he might have won this game. A game manager probably wins us this game. Defense played lights out and receivers were open. That’s all.

I'd love for a team to hire Kellen Moore as their HC, for some reason people seem to think that's a good idea. That will at least bring some change.

You guys were right now that it's over. Dak is the biggest problem, followed by the critical poor game management by McCarthy.

Some what good season. On to the draft and trades. Carr for Prescott sounds good, and Sean for fat boy. Cmon, Jerry, make it happen
No. I’m not buying that. You know as well as I do Carr for Prescott doesn’t improve this team And certainly Rush doesn’t like was stated earlier.

I am good with moving on from Dak. Really, I'm done. Time to move on to the next guy.
again, I think you are being sarcastic but not sure. Dak needs to be better. A lot better. I’m fine with moving on but not for Rush, Carr or some other journeyman and not for some late round draft pick either. If anyone can Give me a solid option (Rodgers?) I’m good with a change but to me we need to tailer the offense to Dak Not bring in some average QB. Let’s see what happens if we simplify it and get him in the habit of quick reads and releases.

I know you aren’t saying this either but I’m also not going to blame everything today on Dak. CeeDee is elite but after Pollard went down it wasn’t like he had a ton of help out there. Amd it was like he was going to be happy getting us to the 35 yard line for a FG attempt. i know Maher hit his last two kicks but the uncertainty changed the whole mindset of the game. I guess playing a different kicker was the right move.

Man, it wasn't on the kicker. It didn't help but what was the difference in this game? I'll put a simple question to you..flip the QB's today and who wins? Dak throws the picks, Purdy doesn't. Purdy made more clutch throws. Is Purdy top 10 lol? Top 15?

It was a fun year. 17 picks in 14 games is not winning football. Some of his throws were just brutal and make you think what was he thinking. At $40 million, you have to expect more. Oh well on to next year. Dak has had loaded teams and is 2-4 in playoff games. Only win at home against a wild card team and on the road against a sub 500 team. Will be interesting to see what happens next year. Extremely disappointed in Diggs, Dak, Mahr and even Schultz in this one.

I’m not saying it was only the kicker and don’t think I said anything at all like that. But IMO you can’t underestimate the mental side of a team thinking they need to cross the goal line every time they get the ball. It changes the play calling, the decisions and the way the defense plays you. I think you are underestimating the impact

an example was the end of the first half. I think Shanahan let the clock run long enough so that if Dallas got the ball back they couldn’t realistically get into the end zone and then called his timeout to try and get a FG himself. He wasn’t worried about Dallas taking over and getting a FG. If we had a better kicker I think the half would have ended with us up 3 points

Winner winner chicken dinner. $40 million dollar man outplayed by a rookie and made the critical mistakes. He is lucky he did not have 3 or 4 picks.

We lost by 7. Dak gifted them 3 with a pick in own territory and then gifted them 3 or 7 with brutal pick at the end of the half that led to 3 by them. That was the ball game.

Yes

But this is your night.
Go for it
So Purdy did not outplay Dak? So Dak did not make two horrible picks that led directly to points and cost us points? Also, he was lucky to not have at least two other picks including a pick 6. 63 QBR rating in this one.

Nothing to strut about. Sad and disappointed. Feel bad for the grief the man will get this off-season and what he is getting now on social media. Tough to play QB for the Cowboys. I pray that he can mentally overcome this as he is a good dude and high character guy. Honestly, just makes me sad. I don’t feel like gloating. This one hurt.
