Bottom line, we have a Championship level, awesome defense. We have playmakers. And we have a good, solid, QB, but he just ain't the guy that's gonna lead you to a Championship. The kicking game didn't help, but the two interceptions killed us, and in the 2nd half, Purdy made a few plays and Dak didnt. At least 2 other picks were dropped, one a pick 6. And no, that isn't reactionary to this game, it's 8 years of compiled evidence
He is who he is. Forgot to be a game manager and the INTs crushed us. I would trade him for Carr and get salary cap relief. Half joking but half not.

Purdy > Dak. Convinced Cooper Rush would have won this game had he started.
Dak was horrible and with that type of QB play we won’t ever win anything but that is a silly Comment. Cooper Rush isn’t an NFL starting QB And certainly can’t beat a team like SF in the playoffs

Sigh, let's run it back with Dak and Mccarthy again next season, I'm sure next year will be different
And that right there is the issue. I can’t blame any one person but I know that if nothing changes, neither will the results.

If you say so. He beat the Bengals by not turning the ball over. Daks two turnovers were a 9 point differential. Defense played good enough to win. Cooper was 4-1 this year with an 800 winning percentage and won with defense and not throwing picks. Kinda like Purdy won today. Our defense will slip next year as Quinn will be a head coach unless Jerrah throws ungodly money.

are you watching the same game as me? You take a sack at 2:45 instead of throwing it away. Then you snap the ball at 2:12. That was a disaster.
first tell your QB to get the Hell off the field and then just kick the damn thing. Because they were so slow getting the punt team on the field it made the refs have to give time to SF to get players in and set up. Punt team should have been ready to go and they should have saved somewhere between 10 to 15 seconds

Now i agree with that. Ive never seen someone take a sack though and call a timeout just to punt it. I thought thats what Olsen was saying do. The offense did linger around on the field but as soon as he was sacked Mac was waving them off the field.

Damn until the end did our run defense shut me up. Losing Watkins hurt. Not because he is good, but he is bigger than OSA and some other guys and losing a guy in our rotation I think led to us wearing down a little. We just completely shut their run D down until late. The coverage over the middle was crap. I think it was Barr more than once but the replays weren’t great and I didn’t pause and rewind much to check. I could be wrong

No I didn’t mean take a timeout at all. If I said something like that sounded I did not mean to

Blown opportunities galore. Two brutal picks by Dak and the dropped pick by Diggs we're the difference. I don't see the Niners beating the Eagles. Purdy is Trent Dilfer

Man, Rush is terrible. This is a Super Bowl caliber team. Thats why they won with Rush in there. They came up short because Dak isn't that guy, but he's about a thousand times better than Rush
And he will rightfully be the starter here next year. The question, in my mind, is do you extend him next year or look to go a different direction. I know some folks are terrified of doing that. I'm not. Dak has trade value. If you trade him after next year, you'll save what will be $50 million a year against the cap and add at least a 1st round pick. I would be willing to give that a shot if we could keep the rest of this roster in tact. The team that beat us today was using their 3rd QB, a 7th round rookie. And believe me, all that talent around him helped him outplay our $40 million QB.

Outside of Parsons, D Law and Lamb, our big time players wilted or got hurt in this one.

You guys were right now that it's over. Dak is the biggest problem, followed by the critical poor game management by McCarthy.

Some what good season. On to the draft and trades. Carr for Prescott sounds good, and Sean for fat boy. Cmon, Jerry, make it happen

I think @PDay8810 had it right, freaking cursed. How else would you describe having a kicker who was having an all pro caliber season turn into a guy who looked like a 7th grader trying to kick extra points? Or your superstar RB having his leg rolled up? Rough one

The only thing I've been right about. Jerry made that deal with Jimmy in his mind. Jerry won while this is the best Big Top shit I've ever seen.

It was a tough one. Those interceptions killed us all year and like all year there were so many poor decisions throwing the ball today when/where he shouldn’t have. I don’t want to hear anyone try and say it was a tipped pass Warner caught. It was a bad decision to throw that ball. Ward should have had it. Dak didn’t even see him. We need to go to a quick release offense. We need to simplify things. We can’t keep doing what we have been doing. One good game, one bad game gets you nowhere in the NFL. Yeah of course Pollard going out changed everything, but Dak just needs to be better on the mental side of things too often for me. It’s just over and over. maybe we need Wade Wilson back? I don’t know what else we can do. something needs to change. I will give him credit for when he tucked it and ran. I thought he made a couple great decisions to keep drives going. I think his character is off the charts and I think that is very underrated in todays sports world. I also think the lack of a kicker put a little pressure on him. He knew he needed to take a couple extra chances where normally we’d maybe go for 3 and he’ll never throw a teammate under the bus and say that. SF has a tough D. They are going to make plays.

One thing I was happy as heck with was that we absolutely didn’t get out physicalled today. We punched them in the mouth over and over. Maybe just one too many weak spots or injuries but that is life in the NFL. This team put on a much better performance in the trenches than they did last year on both sides IMO. This wasn’t a hang your head performance.

Pollard and Lamb are superstars. Micah as well. I loved the grit the defense showed. The one guy, besides the QB and kicker that really disappointed me today was Diggs. I understand he is scared to tackle anyone straight up. But he whiffed on Kittle on the crazy, bobbling catch, and if he simply hits him square up, that huge play is either incomplete or picked off. Honestly, if we have to part with someone because we can't pay everyone, he would be my choice
