There aren't a whole lot of teams with the cap space to trade for OBJ and extend him for the money he wants and most teams that have money arent going to trade 2 ones for him anyway
This is what Ive been telling folks, this idea of 2nd and 3rd rounders is just not happening
Receivers tend to produce a little longer than RBS but not by much. I get looking at trading him because it's unlikely given his injury history that he's going to play at a high level through his next contract. That said I can't see how he's going to get all the money he wants AND the Giants get 2 ones. Teams with cap room are mostly in rebuild mode and aren't going to give up 2 first rounders. You could see a team that has some big contracts coming up try to restructure their guys to create some room but tgat s not going to let you sign him long term anyway .True, and his threats to sit the entire season?
That means he will be out of football for nearly 2 entire seasons
Who is paying premium dollars for a guy out of football for 2 years?
Then the Giants are just screwing around. That's absurd. Nobody's going to pay that. Especially when you don't get a contract out of it (have to sign him to a new one).

Thats the thing, a new contract for the team that gets Odell? Not the Giants problem as they see it
Of course it's not. But when you trade a reasonable contract with 2 or 3 years on it, you're trading away value. ODB doesn't come w/ that value. Marcus Peters had 2 years (1 team option) left on his deal, and he only garnered a 2nd in 2019 and a 4th.
Essentially, the Giants are just throwing out an obscene number to see how high someone will bid. That's pretty transparent. It's the offseason, so I guess they have some time to kill.
I just read the Giants want two first rounders for him Dirt what are you guys smoking in NY?

No they don't need to trade him yet the owner is tired of his anticsThey dont have to trade him, you want one of the best WR's in the league, that we dont have to trade?
yeah, youre gonna pay
Thank God, the 2nd round rumors started getting me worried
It's just a negotiating tactic to see how high someone will bid. They know nobody will pay that.
Look at it this way: when's the last time someone signed a a FA w/ a franchise tag?
It's the same thing: 2 firsts.

He publicly came out and said something to that affect.Yeah, you have access to information I dont I guess
