Before you scoff and say no way, they can't trade their only good offensive player, consider this.

* The owner is mad at him.
* The o-line is terrible
* They arguably have the worst RBs in the NFL
* Eli is old and has probably two years left

Add all that up and the Giants aren't winning anything anytime soon. Without Odell Beckham, the Giants are probably a 3-13 team.

If they can trade him for picks, and get a high pick themselves, they would be in position to possibly get one of the top QBs in this draft. Could be similar to what happened with Big Bro when the Colts tanked to get Andrew Luck.

Giants co-owner 'very unhappy' with Beckham's TD celebration

Anythings possible but I doubt they get market value for a guy that shit the bed in the playoffs, after taking his teammates on an out of state boat trip before the game, had a meltdown on the field against the Panthers and is on record saying he doesn't care that he got a 15 yards penalty last week, he's going to do what he's going to do.
He's a great talent but diva WR's are rarely on championship teams. Moss won one with the Pats who had Brady and ole Hoodie to keep him in line but the Owens' and Ochocinco's of the world don't seem to win the big one

Its a hot topic here

People tossing around the Herschell Walker trade which is ridiculous

I think the Giants would do it on their terms, cause otherwise you would have to think they are selling low

Its not as if other organizations aren't paying attention to his antics, and how with all his greatness, he hasnt won, and has shit the bed in his one postseason game

So i think if the price is right, they would be a willing party, but what is the price?

Nah. They are a non corpse at QB from being a playoff team. That's absurd. This is like the draft Cam's replacement take: HAWT.

id trade him straight up for Jimmy

Would the Pats?

Its the one place/team that would really believe they could tone down his act and harness his greatness

I'm not even Bill can keep him in check. He's made most of his money from endorsements and the more he acts like an ass the more commercials he gets. He's not interested in winning, he's all about building his brand.

100%, hence reducing his value to other teams

They are NOT a non corpse at QB away from winning. Anyone who says that hasn't seen their offense this year. Their line is terrible and their running backs are Paul Perkins and Orleans Darkwa. Brandon Marshall looks slow as fuck. They basically have ODB and Sterling Sheppard, that is it. Without ODB they would be 3-13.

The offensive line is dreadful. Maybe a mobile QB with a head on his shoulders like Wilson would help but they have zero running game. Can't blame Eli for his GM not putting together a line for a guy you heavily invested in who is not mobile.

A) RB's are NOT hard to find
B) OL is fixable, not some nuclear wasteland; look at Minnesota this year
C) Cheap QB would free up space to address A and B provided the rook isn't so bad as to render the cap savings moot.

Guess you can thank Dallas for setting the bar on what a WR should get in a trade. :L

I think a team would have to blow them away.

OBJ is a high strung, millennial, diva, knucklehead... but he's also a #5 WR in his youthful prime. When healthy... he is the type of dynamic play-maker that is as valuable to his team as an non-QB player.

Giants also have a pretty good defense, when healthy. It would be hard for them to tank the way they'd have to for this whole plan to work.

They were trying to trade up for Mahomes reportedly, but werent willing to go as far up in the draft as KC
