Russia and reliable information are not terribly compatible. As of this morning officially there were 45 total cases with 11 of those reported yesterday.

Being an autocratic state, they are able to make quick decisions and they did - basically shutting down the border with China very early on. And if you read the article I linked, that is a critical step.

I was there last week and flew back on Sunday. Everyone I was around in Russia is very aware and being cautious. It’s tougher to enforce in our country where we have been raised with a strong belief in individual rights, whereas a country like Russia is used to the concept of doing what is best for the masses. (That is not a political statement or I think they are “right” comment, it’s just pointing out the differences in cultures.)

We're local govt. and shut down for 3 weeks. School district is too, so kids are everywhere. I've been working from home all week, so I'm good.

I just hate visiting my folks because they're both in early 70's and mom and dad have some pretty serious issues, especially mom's uncontrolled (with many meds) asthma.

I know there's a lot of media hype, but whatever is necessary to flatten out the 'curve', I'm all for it.

The caronavirus has basically cancelled all sporting events for the near future. I hope that this is short lived, but I would say there is a chance to we may see this carry out into May.

I just hope we are able get the virus under control because I don't want to see the football season affected next fall.
