Watching the rerun of Dallas vs GB right now. McClain is AWFUL!! Hand placement poor, takes himself out of plays regularly and for the most part, a non-factor. Haven't studied McGee but man, if he is not much better we are in trouble guys. We NEED DL help at #17.
BTW, Rodgers just shredded that D in Dallas in the first half and made it look easy. Whoever said Rod Marinelli knows defense may be right but his game plan for this particular game was either plain awful or executed awful. My assumption after watching McClain is he is definitely not a starter but a fill-in rotational guy to give others a breather.

We can change our direction in the draft if we offer the Jets a 4th this year and a 5th next year for Richardson. Bring him in with the agreement to restructure into a multi-year deal. He immediately becomes our best DL and we could possibly add Foster or Reddick to ILB then RB in round 2. Other than Norman, Breeland, Smith & Kerrigan this defense would have a new look and much improved. We can still elect to add a DL in rounds 4-7 to pair with Lanier, Ionnadis, Murphy, McGee, McClain & Richardson.
