311 was fucking amazing for its time. Now it's cringe worthy.

well... not cringe worthy. I haven't listened to them in forever but they were amazing. They've gone the way of Sublime and others... It's just played out and won't make a comeback anytime soon.

I'm pretty sure I had a 311 CD stuck in my CD player for 90 percent of my youth

Last saw 311 about 10 years ago. They were still putting on a great show at the time. But yeah, when they covered "Love Song" it made me cringe a bit.

There's a lot of bands doing Sublime-style punk/ska/reggae still. Planning to see Dirty Heads and Pepper at Red Rocks this summer which is sure to be a great show.
