Gonna be another 5 years before contending again
You don’t want to do it but you don’t want to chase bad money anyway. They might be pretenders for another 3 years and when they try and deal Embiid the asset is 3 years more of wear and tear for a player who is always injured. The time to maximize the asset is this summer into next season.

If it’s the decision I have little choice but to accept it. If I thought it was the wrong choice I might feel differently but I’m convinced it’s the right choice.

Philly Inquirer headline... Joel Embiid, James Harden choke in a gutless showing in Boston. ‘The Process’ fails again.

Seems a bit harsh no?

I thought Embiid was pretty good in the series overall, and Harden won them Game 1.

They act like Embiid and Harden were drafted together years ago.

I still vividly remember Harden being a Net and the losing streak that caused him to force the trade. That was like yesterday.

Gotta see what you can do with your picks and Harris (if you resign everyone)

With all due respect the Sixers would be crazy to trade Embiid

It will be another “Jeff Hornacek, Tim Perry, Andrew Lang” trade

That morning after after trading Embiid would be the biggest “what the fuck did the Sixers do?” hangover

I’m sticking with Embiid

It's best to let a couple days go by before deciding the totally tear apart the team, I agree.

That’s because the league knew that Barkley wanted out of Philly. Another reason as to why you should strongly consider trading him now before he pulls an AD and names where he wants to go.

If harden walks, that might just happen

I could see that. I don’t know. I think Morey and Doc get fired regardless of what they want to do. Harden was all Morey. Story that came out a day after the Harden to Philly rumors started flying is that Embiid preferred trying to pursue Beal at that time. Think they are on notice though at this point going forward that at any time Embiid could want to get out.

i just don't think Beal was reasaonably available unless you made a godfather offer. And even then, Beal would have to sign off on it.

Beal should be recruiting embiid now. lol

Harden will not be wanted anywhere where he would have a better chance of winning.

You have to.
So do the Sixers.
Joel is the cornerstone.

Embiid can and most likely win a Championship or two in Philadelphia. I don't think it will happen with Harden on the team, they need him to opt out.

Embiid has just come up so small in all these conference semifinals. Pairing with him someone who comes up equally as small as him, is almost impossible to win. Embiid needs to be better. If you swap Jokic and Embiid, Philly probably has a finals appearance already, and probably is on their way to another one.

Jokic is avg 27, 12 and 7 on 52%, 41% from 3, and 83% from FT in the playoffs for his career. It's insane.

Get a better player than Old Harden, along with Maxey, I think the team has a good shot at a true playoff run.
