Players have figured out that their bodies shield the action very often and that the official is trying to read how they react and they often whistle based on the reaction. I don’t want to go off on a trash ref tirade but some of these guys have been doing this too long and can’t get up and down the floor anymore. For me, good officiating starts with getting into the right position to see plays in order to make calls. Not sure what the real numbers are but it seems like 2 out of 3 times a mistake is made with a call it emanates from an official being out of position.You see that shit all the time. Player falls but the defender does nothing wrong. I'm not sure why officials make this call a lot
