Niners Ravens. KC receivers will struggle. Niners won’t play as horrible as they did last week. I believe they come out much stronger this week and keep the foot on the gas. If niners play as bad as last week then I think Detroit may win but don’t see it happening.

Detroit is on a mission, they are playing with alot of emotion, that will wear off against the 9ers but I think they will pull off the upset.

I'm looking at the data and Smith in the past 6 years has 3 years where he called more on the home team and 3 years where he called more on the road team. 2023 2021 and 2018 look bad if you isolate them but if you take the whole picture it seems pretty balanced.

My numbers were from nflpenalties.com so I don't know how accurate those are, either.

Home win rates are tricky without knowing the circumstances of the games. I'd imagine it would be really difficult to swing 15% of games as a ref without people noticing.

Regardless, the Chiefs will almost certainly get a gift penalty somewhere and people will say the game is rigged. KC is well past the villain stage.

We should take a deeper dive into which home teams those were. If it's teams that have been notoriously undisciplined in recent seasons like the Seahawks, Cowboys etc., it's probably more coincidence than some perceived bias.
