I bit on Cody Green. I bit hard on that one.

He looked like a man amongst little boys in his High School films.

Over the past few years I've watched videos of all sorts of 3-star guys that we've picked up.

Only one of them really stood out to me and I raved about him more than any of the others here on SportsHoopla. That one guy was Ameer Abdullah.

Ameer was easily a 4-star prospect. How the experts fucked that up I'll never know.

You, RA and I were very high on Abdullah from the get go.

RA looked at his tape and said he looked like Rozier. Idk why the hell I remember trivial shit like this.

I just remember looking at his tape and saying why in the flying fuck is Auburn recruiting him as a DB...

Tre Mason is a great back, but he ain't Ameer.

By the way from what I've seen Wilbon is a spitting image of Ameer without the fumbling problems. He's faster than he looks and is a compact runner. Avery is faster, but that's about it. Wilbon has better vision, is a better receiver and can make better cuts. Also runs with a surprising amount of power for a 5'9" kid.

I'll be honest with you......I'm pretty simple through this whole process now.

Brasky posted that thread that literally proved that the teams with the top recruiting classes in years prior were the teams winning Championships.

So when I see Nebraska pick up 3-star players, I'm not even going to waste my time watching their film. I'll always find enough sugar to add to my kool-aid to make every single diamond in the rough the next Ndamukong Suh.

For now on, I am only going to get enthused when we pick up 4-stars.....plain and simple. We play like a 3-star team right now, and that's all we get is 3-stars. So this here pick up makes me happy.

He's a 3 on Scout.

Hope you're right.

He is a completely different back than Ameer though. He is tooled completely differently.

Saw much higher rated RB's including Newby play this past season. We all saw the number one rated back according to rivals: Derrick Green. Hoke CRIED on the phone when the kid committed. He was a non factor when we played them. Honestly he looked like a cheap knockoff of Imani.

I did say that, but he's developed differently than I expected. He doesn't remind me of Rozier at all anymore. He's his own kind of back.

I still like him though and he was under-rated big time.

It's hard sometimes for those "experts" to understand what kind of character and mentality a guy has.

Ameer is mentally in a different place than every other back in the country.

I haven't watched his film yet either.....but I don't expect great things.

Usually when we get a 4-star they have something wrong with them.........like an arm growing out of their back or something like that.

There has to be some reason why the bigger schools are backing off of them and pushing them our way.
