ESPN’s Courtney Cronin writes the Bears are hoping to interview Lions OC Ben Johnson and Commanders OC Kliff Kingsbury for their head coaching vacancy.
Interim coach Thomas Brown will also be considered and interviewed. The smoke tying Johnson to Chicago has already come on heavy after Matt Eberflus’ firing, with Adam Schefter reporting a belief that Johnson has interest in working with Caleb Williams. Kingsbury would be a more contentious pick as his passing offense has mostly backslid over the past month, but he does have experience developing good young quarterbacks.

I don't think DK is worth $30M either, but he does at least stretch an offense. Nobody cares about Tee Higgins.. Chase is the only factor on that team. And now even DK is getting exposed since JSN is picking it up.

Whatever, I hope you guys give Tee Higgins $30M a year. You'll be quickly an irrelevant team again. And saw your last post... Tee > DK? LMFAO... dude, get the F outta here. Tee is playing with a generational QB talent, one of the better #1 WRs in the league... and DK has been playing with one of the worst OLs, a makeshift QB rotation... give me a fuckin' break.

This guy seems more like a clownonabicycle.

You root for us? Say its stupid to sign Higgins, then hope we sign him at 30 mil because it may set us back?

Thanks bro

It's stupid to sign Tee Higgins for $30M a year based on his production and the team he's on while he did it - we're talking football, not being fans of Redskins or Bengals, or Seahawks. If Seattle signed Higgins to a $30M per year I'd rate it an F as well. If you think Tee Higgins is great at $30M go for it... I think it'd be a terrible signing at that amount per year. Now the Commanders have a ton of money so whatever, but that's overpaying for what he is.

Obviously I'm a Seattle fan.. but I like to root for Washington when it directly doesn't impact us (I thought it wouldn't as I thought Seattle was spiraling out of this season when I posted this, they've since won 3 straight). So PERSONALLY if I like a team, I think them signing Higgins at $30M per year is retarded. Not to mention, the one position that is decent in 2025 in the NFL draft is WR... while basically every other position maybe outside of RB (mid rounds) is shit.

My response was to gkekoa who was sassing me on why Tee is worth that.. and finally I just said, "Whatever, then the Skins might as well sign him.. because it's overpaying and if anything helps Seattle." Basically a 'whatever concession.'

Clownonabicycle? lol, alright.

Yeah…all I did was destroy your statements with facts. Getting Tee Higgins doesn’t prevent us from drafting another WR.

Happy to come back here and eat crow in 2026 if the Skins want to go full Cleveland Browns mode.

I think sharkonabycyle is right . 30 mil is an overpay . We might do it but it’s an overpay the 2nd franchise tag is 26 mil and that would be the starting point if I was his agent .

My only issue with Higgins is giving up draft picks AND having to pay him as well.

I would rather overpay for him AND keep my draft picks if it comes down to it

Also not signing him doesn’t torpedo our future either

I don't recall any armchair GMs or professionals saying it would have taken 30mil to sign Higgins to the redskins this year or next. All the TOP WRs are missing time due to injuries, does that mean they shouldn't be paid? What rookie WR in the draft or free agent WR if healthy is going to outplay Higgins? Higgins when healthy will make life easier for the offense, and create a situation where you will have to pick your poison. Did you say you don't wanna pay Metcalf 30 mil? What about when your so called line issues are corrected, and JSN is doubled all game, whats the plan?

Whether there are wrs who can outplay Higgins. In this draft is the wrong question to ask in my opinion . The question is should I give up draft resources and pay him as well ? The answer was “ no “ from AP. I believe he is right because signing Higgins and getting to address needs with those draft resources allows for more talent gathering

I think we are passed the sign and trade scenario.
Why are we afraid to spend money and deal picks?
Lattimore is likely gonna be a beast next year. Sign Higgins in FA. Give Sinnott and McCaffrey more targets and see what you've got.
Then you can draft your franchise tackle or get the best WR, DB, etc.
Its counterproductive to save save save but never spend and pass on obvious improvements

It’s counter productive to do shit you don’t need to do . Keep the picks and god forbid draft players
