Understand that wasn’t directed at you solely. I had that debate with several posters who flat said we couldn’t afford them which isn’t and wasnt true . We absolutely can and I said that yrs ago

We can afford them.

I just dont think we should pay all of them when we have glaring needs through out the team.

Rivera isn't known for his trading prowess so I am surprised somebody coughed up a 3rd. I figured somebody would have offered a 5th.

This is the same GM who got a 3rd and 5th for arguably the best LT in the NFL. The NFL knows that Rivera can be fleeced and other GMs will take advantage of our weak front office.

I wonder if Harris is telling Rivera that if they lose, open up the phone lines?

I highly doubt Rivera would hoist up the white flag and start trading players, but I don't know. If Harris tells him to proceed, he might not have a choice.

That being said, I don't think Harris would do something like this and start making demands. He just doesn't seem like that kind of owner.

If we do lose tomorrow, and a semi firesale happens, the season will pretty much be officially over. I believe Magic is telling Rales/Harris to can Rivera and start planning for 2024.

Not sure if I am remembering correctly but I think he got rid of most of the fat from the 76ers and Devils ... took the loss for a couple of years ..... trust the process was the motto.

I'd say trading depends on what you can get back.
