2020 we took Chase Young, passing on Justin Herbert and Tua.

2021 we took Jamin Davis, passing on Christian Darrisaw.

2022 we took Jahan Dotson and passed on Tyler Smith and Olave.

2023 we took Stick Figure and passed on Christian Gonzalez and Anton Harrison.

These are just players we talked about drafting instead of what RR took.
proof the front office needs firing as bad as the coaching staff does.

2023 not a single player we drafted is playing... RIDICULOUS!

This could be significant depending on who did the hiring
Good point.
I dont think Rivera hired him...but he could have.

Does Jason Wright have the authority to do it?

My guess is harris and group did.

The fact that washingnton has largely sucked for a long time and also been one of the least analytical in the entire nfl suggests that this is a good move.

Using data to drive growth is not a new field in most fields, but apparently not with the commanders and their dinosaur gm team and old school coaches.

Good move.

with respect to the new hiring, just what good is adding on to a staff likely to be fired at season,s end exactly going to do anyway?adding decent linemen makes more sense to me,not adding coaches.just another rr failure in the growing list of many.

What a freaking joke.

I forgot that he wanted a new deal.

Again, Rivera doesn't believe in an elite line...he does just enough to get by per his GM approach here.

He believes in an elite defense that can carry an offense.

I disagree with that approach personally. I think the OLine is the most important unit on the field. Just my opinion.

Seems like the narrative that TW wanted out period was a lie.

This could be a harris hire where the role reports directly to harris currently but will report to the new GM or President in the future.

I doubt this person reports to Rivera now but he could.

It is a good hire because this person was likely brought here by Harris. Harris believes in analytics…probably even the analytics of firing RR this week.

This is the reason why a playoff appearance or win needs nothing to me.

It would simply be an outlier to me and mean that the team won in spite or the ineffective, poor front office and coaching blunders.

I would rather have an up to date front office than a coach who gets a single playoff win. Rivera won't relinquish his president/gm role nor will harris violate Rivera contract and demote his to head coach.

I am hoping that names are already being discussed and a game plan is being put in place. We need a complete front office tear down and rebuild.

This is a message board and we all have our opinions. I believe harris goal should be to build the best and brightest front office first and foremost. That means everything: GM, President, sales, marketing, fan engagement, stadium logistics, etc.The on field items will be second. Not to speak blasphemy, but I don't care what happens on the field right now because we have no foundation to speak. You have to nail this down first. We are almost like an expansion team.

The organization must be built correctly. Again, I could not care less what happens on the field this year (except Sam howell). This I much more important than that in my book. We have not had a respectable or efficient front office since 1998.

I don't think our fans know what a good front office looks like. It's not our fault that we were held hostage by a dictator for 20 plus years. I don't know what a successful front office looks either and simply guessing here.

Bingo

I doubt rivera knew about it or would support it. It is a threat to the way he does things as he is old school.

Rivera knows he hasn't met expectations and the data will point that out using additional facts and numbers.
