Welll then....

I wonder if Harris is telling Rivera that if they lose, open up the phone lines?

I highly doubt Rivera would hoist up the white flag and start trading players, but I don't know. If Harris tells him to proceed, he might not have a choice.

That being said, I don't think Harris would do something like this and start making demands. He just doesn't seem like that kind of owner.

If we do lose tomorrow, and a semi firesale happens, the season will pretty much be officially over. I believe Magic is telling Rales/Harris to can Rivera and start planning for 2024.

So, who is making the final decision on trades if we lose today? Rr or harris?

God it’s hard to tell because if it were Harris you would think he would have his guy in place unless god forbid it’s wright In a twist of fate .

I cant see RR doing a fire sale with his career on the line unless it isn’t

I think it is harris personally.

I think everyone in the building knows the season is over and I think last week sealed riveras fate in the eyes of ownership.

Rivera has lost to 2 bad teams and barely beat 2 of the worst teams in the nfl.

It was always a transition year, but now it appears we are open for business. I know you disagree with it being a transition year, but it is.

It is all about preparing for next year IMO and seeing if Howell can be the guy.

Exactly. If we get a 2nd for Sweat and a 3rd for Brissett that would be good.

If that is the case, could you see Both Young and Sweat being traded? I would rather trade Sweat than Young. Definitely trade Brissett. IF we somehow win today do all trades get squashed?

I would rather trade young because his health is always an issue. Sweat is a great run stopping DE but also gets to the qb. Sweats availability is never in question.

No, I think the trades, whatever they are, will happen. Again, this could mean Samuel's and Gibson, or it could mean sweat and young.

The bottom line is that we aren't going anywhere, I know you think we will get 9 wins, but it isn't happening and if we do, it means nothing.

I think harris wants to give the new GM as much ammo as possible to rebuild the team.

im on board with trading Samuel and Gibson. Young is the better player when healthy. IF that is the case then Harris is behind it. If RR is calling the shots, why would he trade players after a win today? IF we lose, Harris defiently jumps in and overrides RR on trades. This is an attractive place to be for a GM b/c of the cap room.

If the Skins are truly instigating talks for Chase and/or Sweat this could be a total display of disfunction.

A
Ron and/or Mayhew are trying to trade a couple of the few good players we have while on their way out the door........potentially. Just like it was crazy to have Ron Rivera a sub 500. coach, having a say in the name change. He's been here 5 minutes and he gets to help pick the name that we all have to live with?

B
Harris is making or ordering football decisions. Yes, he was the "Trust the Process" guy in Philly. Harris tanked and for the most part it worked. However, if this is Harris, it signals that he is willing to make roster decisions, which should be frightening for this fanbase.

Additionally, I would love to know who called Sean Payton. Was it Harris? Was it the Canadian? Was it the Duke basketball player? If it was Harris it means he was willing to hire a coach before hiring a GM. I know that's not the ownership structure most of us have been clamoring for.

Best case scenario its Mayhew, but why? Why would Josh let this group make such a huge decision like this on their way out the door? Unless........

Curious to see if and how this Eagles game affects all of this.

It depends...are we going to sign young and sweat? Is that the direction ownership wants?

I can't believe I am saying this, but I want harris to override Rivera because I have no faith in Rivera period. Why would I? His 2023 free agents are a disaster and his 2023 looks very bad at this point.

I trust harris more than I do Rivera.

I hope we lose today because we need to move forward as an organization and stop delaying the inevitable. If another loss triggers the rebuild, so be it. If a loss spells the end of rivera and his circus, then we need the eagles to win and put us out of our misery.

Where did I say we didn't?

I said yesterday we did.

Do you want to invest over 80 million in the DLine with the OLine is on fire?

We have the worst LB Corp in the NFL.

We have 90 million in cap space. You wittle it down to 50 million if you go that route.

I think resigning both is a mistake. We need to spread out the cap. Having these elite DLineman isnt currently helping us as we have the 26th ranked defense.

We need to move away from our current practices and actually attempt a different approach.

I see your point but let's say we trade Sweat for a 3rd? There is still a hole a DE. Still have to draft well, to replace his production. Sure there are different ways s to approach this.
