As bad as this hurts the Flames, they have 20 games left and are sitting in a playoff position. It's not like their season is over just yet. A decently hot goalie can steal you a few games and you never know.

Talking to my Red Wings fan friend on Saturday about his team and when I pointed out that they could've had both Filppula and Hudler on the squad in addition to all the good young guys they have he got very sad.

Jay Feaster wasn't a great GM for the Flames, but bringing Hudler on board was a fine move. Interesting to note that with Glencross being traded, Hudler now sports an "A" on his jersey.

Flames AHL afflliate in Stockton to be named "Heat" and here is the logo (not bad, not great)
