Seriously, I don't think Horachek will ever coach a team again after this. I can only imagine how much regret he must have at taking this job.

I don't fault Horachek for the .889 SV% the Leafs have had in the last 10. What I do fault him for is shit like last night, where Clarkson i) was on the ice down a goal ii) with 5 minutes left in the game iii) took a roughing penalty iv) watched Arizona extend the lead to 2 from the box v) wasn't nailed to the bench when he got out of the box, and vi) was put right back on the ice by Horachek with the goalie pulled! Go get us another penalty!

I know! This shit keeps happening. I would like for someone to just ask someone on the coaching staff "what do you think he's good at that's helpful in that situation (what's his 'role' out there) and why do you believe he's good at it"? Just so we can have an answer.

actually I would say reverse the numbers for the left column (85 = 15) which i think are more tradeable assets for Toronto. However Nonis wont pull the tigger as usual and come up with Im not making a bad trade to save my job comment when in reality just like in Vancouver it means Im not making a trade because I have no real control here

Thing is, I think Shanahan wants to trade them all for pocket squares.

Thing I'm more concerned and conflicted about is Nonis still being there. If they fire him in the summer, that means he handled the negotiations with other GMs at the deadline and who knows what he's thinking about while doing so. If they fire him now, who the hell runs the deadline? Shanny? Not sure how much I like that one.
