Why would any NHL team want Koskinen? He's not a NHL goalie. I think the Preds are finding out the same thing with David Rittich.

I would take him as a backup for one year while Tarasov ripens as long as he was a part of a deal for a center and we can move Korpi to EDM.

I guess the idea is to get out from under Mrazek's deal because they're probably going to have to anyway this summer if they want to keep Campbell. By the time the deal's done Koskinen would basically be riding the pine or filling in down the stretch when games (hopefully) don't matter to rest Campbell up for the playoffs.

Which is why it was a kinda dumb deal to sign to begin with. Not that he's really had a chance to show anything with his groin injuries (although groin injuries do tend to stem from poor training habits).
