It's a nice town to walk around, check out some of the greenery and sights, and be on your way the next day. If you're there for a prolonged time it might be a good idea to bring something you need to do some catching up on.There's a chance I may be working in Ottawa as early as next month - I've never even visited the nation's capital before, so any tips on places to stay, things to do would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
things to do
Hopefully they haven't done this to it yet:I always liked the Chateau Laurier for the architecture alone.
A little OT but one low-key town out that way that I’ve come to like a lot is Kingston.

I was there for an early meeting two weeks ago so went up the night before. Stayed at the Arc Hotel. Nice, wasn't expensive, not far from the hill.

The pen is closed now and you can tour it. It's pretty cool.Queen's University, a penitentiary, and Doug Gilmour - That's a Don Cherry hat trick right there.

We did some reno work at the Military College there and began planning site visits on Fridays or Mondays so we could spend the weekend in Kingston or out in 1000 Islands. Really grew on me.Fucking loved Kingston.
Lol no that's at Millhaven in Bath (which is also a nice holiday area). He was only in Kingston Pen for a few weeks I think. Is the Harold Ballard cottage part of the tour?
