I am just not convinced he is putting the effort into improving that he should. The results haven't show that he is. Not in wins and losses, but in incremental game improvements.

I'm just not impressed, this coming from a fan of a team who played 2 straight 7 game series' against him. Outside of his glove, which he is over flashy with, i'm not all impressed.

I think part of it is that they're not being committed to him - I'm sure being a young guy, he hasn't grasped what it takes effort-wise to be consistent on a night to night basis, but they need to ride the kid and play him 55-60 games - it seems like goalie roulette there, they want him to be the guy but they played guys like Halak, Neuvy, etc more and more - I think if the Caps had continuity in net they might be a better team, stick with Braden Holtby and let him ride out the good and bad times - that's the only way they can tell through a full season whether he has it or not

I agree. Plus, if you know, we always make mediocre goalies look like Patrick Roy against us. That's no secret.

may as well leave it. they will only hve to change it back later. I just cant see why they would keep him when the new GM is hired. I see it as a precaution. hang on to the coach that you know will get you in the playoffs for revenue in case the GM search takes too long and all the good coaches get snapped up and you are left with a Eakins choice.
