He'd be a good fit. I'd like to see Vancouver be a contender again. My hate for them has dwindled big time since 2011... Even though thet still hate us and our cun+y players just as much.

:pout:

Payback for your FB posts. lol

Honestly though, I'd much rather see you guys being the Canadian team to finally bring the Cup back up north than the Habs.

Surprised on Shero as well.

We may see a whole new batch of contenders next year.
Why? If Disco Dan or Shero go to Washington and/or Vancouver, they still won't be contenders just like this year.

If you're being serious about Rask you're fucking retarded.

Not Rask. Rask is a beast, I fucking hate going against him.

You said Washington and Pittsburgh struggled.

I was talking about MAF and Holtby.

deserved, and I wish.. but if its the habs, that means its not the leafs and THAT I can really live with, not that I hate the leaf fans on this board or even some of my "friends" its just that I dont think I could handle the onslaught of what would happen in the media.... oof

I would give MAF above average. but Holtby, Im not even sure we can consider him good at this point. I really need to see more of him.

I was more so alluding to Boston and Pitt as well as some other teams that fell short this year unloading some guys that'll flourish elsewhere.

Lol, it's all good.

I hate Boston, but i'm not that much of an asshole to call one of the top goalies in the league ''average'' :suds:

Holybt is garbage. MAF is questionable at times.

Holtby has tools, but either his coach isn't smoothing out his edges or he isn't listening. One or the other. Until he stops his good to bad game swings he will be average to slightly above.

Fleury is well above average.

Rask is elite.

He's what, only 22 or 23 years old? Let's give this kid a break, goalies usually don't mature at this point, he got thrown into the fire there - at least he's already won them a playoff series and got to within one game of the Conference Finals two years ago

It's similar to the Mason ordeal here. I thought that it was the coach not getting the job done, turns out he just wasn't listening. Shelf life on a goalie is pretty short, even really good ones. You adjust or you go away.

I'd like to see him do well, but the Caps could sign any one of the UFA goalies and his window is closed. He'll be out of the league in 3 years.

John Gibson is 20. Bob is 25 (and had a playoff run for the Flyers at 23), Mason had a Calder at 21.

Roy had a cup at 20. True that goalies develop later, but the cream does rise to the top. And at this point Holtby does not look like the cream.

And has choked on multiple occasions. He's a decent goalie at best.

It's not easy to win when you have crappy d-men and players who aren't committed to playing defense(wink wink Ovi wink wink) in front of you

He's got things to improve in his game but I'm surprised people are nagging on him like this when he's still really young

I'm just not impressed, this coming from a fan of a team who played 2 straight 7 game series' against him. Outside of his glove, which he is over flashy with, i'm not all impressed.
