Adding a top-end left-shot defenseman to pair with Kris Letang is a priority for Pittsburgh, especially seeing as head coach Mike Sullivan “repeatedly pushed” for the team to acquire Jakob Chychrun from the Arizona Coyotes last season.
Checks notes…. Yep still very old.
This sounds like what he said about Murray last year lolEndearing himself to Pens fans early
- The Pittsburgh Penguins plan on bringing goalie prospect Joel Blomqvist to North America next season, says director of player development Tom Kostopoulos. The team’s 2020 second-round pick has played almost exclusively in Finland since being drafted, save for a few spotty appearances stateside after his season ended overseas. He took a step back last season after posting an insane .940 save percentage in 20 Liiga games in 2021-22, still managing a shutout and .907 save percentage in 21 games with Karpat. He’ll command a lot of playing time with AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton next season.
I have Sid as a top ten player and I think that’s about as fair as can be to him. Had he not had those concussion issues and the Pens hadn’t dipped during the few years after the first Cup you might be making an argument that he’s comparable to Mario but as it is Mario takes it by far.LOL...seeing Penguin fans argue who is the better all-time Penguin behind Lemieux.
That is some real "1st world" hockey issues there.

He's a far better player overall than Jar Jar, but god damn did I enjoy watching Jagr more.I have Sid as a top ten player and I think that’s about as fair as can be to him. May be true but Jagr is legendary off the ice. Sid is best known off the ice for working a Timmy’s drive thru with McKinnon. He's a far better player overall than Jar Jar, but god damn did I enjoy watching Jagr more.
