I loved that show. Lol
Yep. That one was a classic. The second and third seasons weren't as good.
Irony of it, all the contestants were from Pittsburgh.

That must mean watching the 2023 Pirates is the next season of the Joe Schmo Show. :D

I watched the 2nd season, and it got better as it went along, especially after one of the contestants figured it out and played along with the actors.

I swear I read the last time the Pirates had the top record at anytime (after 20 games in a season) in the NL was 1992. :L
Not sure if that is true but sounds very reasonable.

And for posterity’s sake....

I thought the Pirates owner was cheap.
He is....one contract doesn't fix anything and the Pirates got Reynolds at a very affordable price.

Saying Nutting isn't cheap by spending money on a player is like some white person saying they aren't racist because they have one black friend.

Ah yes, the moneybags factor brought them back to reality.

After that 8-2 run, be prepared for a 2-8 follow-up.

For all those people on the edge of their seats wondering if /when Bonino was going to return......

Yeah, I know it is a formality that had to happen.

As Chuck Noll once said about Franco Harris:

“It’s time for him to get on with his life’s work”

/that was actually Sidney “The Thundering Bull” Thornton.

Later known as The Fumbling Fool.

The Franco line was “Franco Who?”

I can’t believe they let that guy wear Dave Parker’s number.

/Christ I didn’t realize 17 others have since he left Pittsburgh.

Why the fuck is his number not retired and why isn’t he in the Hall of Fame???
