@forty_three sounds like you won't be getting Sullivan.

The search for new leadership in Pittsburgh will begin immediately, the team said. The interim management group will consist of director of hockey operations Alec Schall, AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton general manager Erik Heasley, and hockey operations analyst Andy Saucier. Head coach Mike Sullivan will also be involved, per the team.

So, aside from Burkie landing in Anaheim with a team that Rick Dudley built and Pronger getting cozy with a Edmonton weather girl resulting in Pronger being traded to the Ducks that resulted in a Ducks run to the Cup, what else does Burke have to hang his hat on? Drafting the Sedins?

listening to Marek talk about how Fenway Sports conducts business and what they want from their executives ... he mentions weekly reports, spreadsheets, analytics, proof of evidence of improvement ... only one guy can pull that off!!!

He chose poorly (could have been the Penguins coach).

I'm guessing that's when they had the prospects game here, which a lot of GM's go to, and for all we know he was meeting with JR & Co. to try and get JT Miller out of there (or even Horvat who was still around at that point I think).

I don't really see the issue there unless the point is he didn't go out and immediately make a panic trade or some other drastic move.

The article read of more of a personal attack on Hextall by the author.

He basically claimed Hextall was too soft to be the GM, wouldn’t make tough decisions, he would leave decisions up to Pryor that should have been his and what was quoted in my post made it seem like at the first signs of discontent that were voiced from the fans he took off to get out of dodge.

Now we both know that wasn’t a spur of the moment decision to attend the prospects game. It had to be in his plans.

The timing and the optics of it gave the author more fuel for his hit piece.
