From the moral victories department - at least nobody is worse than minus two for the Oilers tonight.

David Perron played 19:27 and somehow he was even

How can a team with three consecutive 1st overall picks still be this bad?

The Edmonton Oilers were shut out 12 times in the 1980s

tonight makes 6 times this season alone

At the rate they're going, they might at least get shutout 12 times this season alone

My 3rd live game this year....Oilers have lost all three whilst being outscored 14-3. I can tell you for as lazy and defeated as they look on television, it is much more obvious live. This is a team that has no spinal column

Kudos to the guy who tossed his Oilers jersey on the ice as we were leaving. Many high fived him on the way out...

Eakins just ripped into the fan who threw the jersey on the ice. Said he’s a quitter. Interesting comments.

Yeah Dallas, that's right, the fans are the problem in Edmonton.

Note to Dallas Eakins: Talking shit about fans never gets you anywhere, you never win that way

He needs to focusing on coaching his own team - all the hype he's gotten as this so-called next great coach is stupid - he hasn't done jack in the NHL - at the rate he's going, he should just go back to the AHL or Juniors - there are coaches that are better equipped for this team, like Peter Laviolette, who's actually won a Stanley Cup

I would love the Jets to destroy the Oilers tonight and watch the fans litter the ice with Oilers merchandise.

I bet Oilers fans are jealous of Flames fans, who actually get to watch a team that plays hard and gives it all they got

with half the talent.

Saturday's game in Pittsburgh was a good example - Down 4-1 late in the 2nd period, it would have been easy for the team to mail it in, but they scored a goal in the final minute to make it 4-2 and then a goal early in the 3rd to make it 4-3. Joe Colborne made a great power move to beat Fleury, but he couldn't beat the post otherwise it would have been a tie game.

Flames will likely finish this season with a top-5 pick, but as long as they continue to show a good work ethic, I'm fine with it.

And, yes, it's totally reasonable to suggest that Eakins worry more about the players who quit on Saturday instead of the fan that quit.

John MacKinnon ‏@rjmackinnon
#Oilers Eakins has either stood up to become lightning rod for fans frustration, or made a serious mistake.

I'm going with serious mistake, as Cobie stated above, when you start ripping into the fanbase, you are on thin ice.
