Do the Oilers lead the league this year in moral victories?
“@DobberHockey: Nail Yakupov and Sam Gagner are now a combined minus-39. No two other players in the #NHL combine to get that low. #Oilers”
On That's Hockey Tonight, Craig Button referred to the Kings as the Globetrotters and the Oilers as the Generals.
Already 20 points out of a playoff spot in the West - They don't want to move any of RNH, Hall, or Eberle which leaves Yakupov who is having a dismal season. The thing is, I can easily see him bolting back to the KHL with the Oilers getting nothing in return.
i saw this one (rumo(u)r mongerer) Gardiner and Reimer for Gagner for Dubnyk ???
or Gagner ???
I agree with Cam Charron in saying you just know once Gagner leaves that team and plays with better defensive forwards he will be a better all around centre ... he needs to be insulated a tad
and speaking of "Leaves" (dont know if he can get insulated here)
i saw this one (rumo(u)r mongerer) Gardiner and Reimer for Gagner for Dubnyk ???
That makes zero sense for the Leafs (as in my opinion, they're giving up the two best players in that swap).
Although I dread making deals with the Leafs (bad history), Burkie needs to get Nonis on the blower and send Matt Stajan back to Toranna for one Jake Gardiner.
your flames one-sie is on too tight dash
I really do like Sam Gagner and that probably makes the Leafs a better team, but that would really make the Oilers better because they're getting a good defenseman and goalie for once
I would ask for a pick along with Gagner and Dubnyk, if I'm the Leafs because Reimer > Dubnyk
That would be Lowe admitting Bryz was a mistake.
And honestly, they could have the love child of Marty Brodeur and Jacques Plante in net and it won't make a bit of difference. All the move would do is crush the career of a promising young goalie (Reimer).
Justin Schultz needs some time in the AHL as well, that kid is getting slowly ruined at the NHL level.
a reunited Gardiner Schultz tandem would be ALL offence (or defensively offensive) all the time
Yeah, it would likely be a disaster. Time for the Oilers to pitch that over-the-top offer for Shea Weber before that NTC kicks in.
