Money can't buy happiness, but it can buy bacon
That's a pretty good looking roster if you ask me lol
Apparently, somebody didn't like Bob Nicholson's "There's something in the water" comment lol
The Taylor Hall trade was bad, but at least Adam Larsson is a NHL defenseman (maybe not top 2, but certainly a 3-4 guy). The Griffin Reinhart trade was terrible though, I think the Isles couldn't close that deal fast enough.
Edmonton is the gift that keeps on givingOuch. Don't think you had to say that lol
Holy shit imagine the toilet problems if they shut off the water to the arena! WRONG PEOPLE TO PISS OFF BOB!Apparently, somebody didn't like Bob Nicholson's "There's something in the water" comment lol
The right GM probably can turn this around in 2 years, even if they are in cap trouble.^
Man, who wants to hitch their wagon to this disaster?
/I know, I know there's only 31 (soon to be 32) jobs like this available
//Seattle is closer to the Cup than the Oilers
-Hire a good coaching staff with expertise in development.
Plus there will be another lockout in 2 years to reset the balance of the league again.
-RNH has trade value. Take picks and prospects, the right picks and prospects, and that’s value for $6 mil.
-That would give them almost $20 million in cap space for next season. There are quite a few teams entering cap hell they could offer to help (take bad contract + good young player/prospect/picks).

-Larsson will only have a year left on his deal after next season. He has value and the team will at best be getting up to “good” level by the time he hits his UFA year. Might be best to move him while he has term and a good contract.
The biggest issue is getting Katz & co. board, obviously, and I really don’t think there’s any chance they get on board with something like that. But they have the best player in the game, a couple of good defensive pieces, Drai is still very good and I guess goaltending is settled for a while lol. There have been much, much worse situations in the NHL in the past decade than what Edmonton’s in right now.
One more thing - The Oilers as a team are slow, yes McDavid is probably the fastest skater in the league, but as a team, they play at a plodding pace. Whomever gets the fulltime GM gig needs to seriously improve the overall pace of play for the Oil.
a top 10 could fall in the Sens lap.
Out of respect for you, I will not comment.
