Milbury was given too much time to be so bad and I don't think any GM will ever get that much leeway again. I think they have to be separated categorically - Milbury is basically the Gretzky of General Mismanagement. Did his thing in an era you simply cannot compare to today.

Granted, they were bad, but the returns for Iggy and Bouwmeester coupled with almost losing Sean Monahan in the Ryan O'Reilly offer sheet fiasco in my opinion push Jay close to the top of the horribad list.

Pure speculation on my part, but I wonder how much of a hand Bobby Orr (McDavid's agent) had in the firing of Chia. He was in Edmonton a couple of weeks ago and you have to wonder if an ultimatum was delivered (as in get a new GM or my client is out of here).
