He had no trouble going after a marshmallow like Gibson but when Bieksa came calling in the third he wanted no piece of him. Smart guy - even Corey Perry kind of complimented him on it after the game.

Artemi Panarin with five apples last night sets a franchise record for assists and points in a game.

Was nice that 4 of the 5 were wicked passes. Not just "hey he touched the puck before the goal" type assists.

Torts is so frustrating sometimes. He sometimes has the flashes of brilliance like where he puts Panarin-Anderson-Dubois together.

Then he goes and benches Atkinson for no fucking reason.

Rimer must be going senile. He said the old record was 4.

I think the Jackets twitter is probably right that it's tied.

I'm starting to think Bowman is wondering what he could've gotten for Panarin had he gone for the prospects/picks route instead of contract security in Saad. That's looking like a very lopsided trade right now.

I don't know if I'd call it "very" lopsided (yet). But Panarin is finding his groove. I didn't know he was so good at distributing the puck. I thought he was pure sniper.

I wish I knew more about how the trade went down. I don't know if Kekeleinen had any intention of trading Saad. I get the impression it was Bowman asking for Saad and Jarmo saying "how about Bob's friend Artemi?"

He was probably quite surprised when Stan said yes.

Comment based on your avatar: I went to the OSU - Minnesooota game last Saturday. The women's team was doing a shootout competition thing during one of the intermissions. They've got some lookers.

By the way Foligno has grabbed the spot picker title belt away from Bieksa I think.

I look at it this way. There are many rumo(u)rs that the Jackets are looking to trade with Edmonton, and everyone on Edmonton was just trying to impress Jarmo. Hoping to be the one.

I was supposed to bring a kid home from practice for a buddy of mine who had tickets last night. He showed up about halfway through practice.

"fucking awful" was all he said.

    Wait.. Steve?

Actually, this is good for him. In the past he would have stood there for 20 minutes throwing a tantrum.
