Edmonton scored on the ensuing power play. So weird.

It's what they do - Also I'm sure you saw that Johnny had another breakaway last night and Nurse hooked and slashed him to deny a scoring chance. No call on the play.

Indeed. Honestly, I think the penalty shot call in Calgary was pure theatrics. That was nowhere near enough to warrant a penalty shot. The one last night definitely deserved 2, though.

Kirrill Marchenk-"Oh, I could pass the puck too?"

13 goals. No assists. Still getting lowest ice time among forwards on team. His goals per 60 is higher than McDavid.

Give us your first for Gavrikov.
Someone will do that. Given the Leafs’ defence has been injury plagued and still pretty steady it won’t be them.

Only guy I think still out there worth a first for Toronto, barring unexpected players being available, is Meier.

Do it. It will cause a lot of Jackets fans to have aneurysms. The kind of fans that want to give Blankenburg a #2D role and 8 year contract. You know, morons.

Jenner is a solid player, great leader and on a very team friendly deal. As a 3C/Penalty killer he is awesome. I argue one of the best there is. Problem is, Jackets C cupboard is so bare he is playing 1C. He survives, but is over his head. As long as he is there, kids like Johnson and Sillinger aren't growing because Jenner gets the big reps (when healthy). Trading him now changes a lot for the Jackets. Kids get more of a shot, and it clears the way for someone like Werenski to assume the captaincy.

Boone would be a great fit but spending assets on him probably eliminates the possibility of a top 6 LW which is what the team needs more than anything if they’re actually going to get past TB or Boston.

So, yeah, this will probably be what Dubas does.

I would've been happy for the Leafs to do that had Vancouver not shot themselves in the dick with his contract. I think I was openly hoping for it here last year when it would've been even better so he could lose to his former teammates in TB twice in a row.

Last few that have made the jump worked out okay
Gavrikov
Chinakhov
Marchenko

Longer shot to make the big club but he's big, mean and prefers to go through people rather than around them.

The building in the middle there is the North Market. A place with lots of great food vendors that I have eaten at hundreds of times over the years. Including 2 weeks ago.

The dirt patch is what used to be their parking lot. Being dozed for some new project like a hotel or something.

The tents are for exhuming the human remains they discovered when digging up the parking lot and realizing they never fully emptied the graveyard it's built on.
