Dreger on TSN just now just roasted Torts saying he made everything worse with the PLD situation by going on the radio and confirming his trade request (probably a safe assumption Torts leaked it to Portzline to begin with, too) and wants him to stop talking about it.

Looking at Brisson's client list, Jarmo might wanna tell his coach to do so. Probably not a guy you need to piss off any more than you already have when your team has developed a reputation for chasing away good players.

Torts did blunder by confirming it, but he knew about the request and probably assumed that it was more than speculation when he commented n it. He is the one who pretty well made it real. I would like Torts to shut up about it too. But that would require them to stop asking him about it every fucking day.

If Brisson didn't hold it against Torts when he mouthed off about Jack Johnson, I doubt this will make a ton of difference in the relationship.

Day off for the team today, but Laine was at the practice facility skating with Kevin Stenlund and the conditioning coaches. He has passed protocol and provided he is good to go from the injury two weeks ago he is set to debut tomorrow against Dallas. A team he has scored 18 goals against in 16 career games.

Tomorrow is also the day the Jackets debut their Wal Mart bargain bin - I mean "reverse retro"- jerseys.

Jones and Werenski have both been pretty bad. There are reasons why Del Zotto was available on a PTO, and if he's been the most consistent of your D men, there are big problems. We could be looking at a deal for one of them before the start of next season. We're gonna have to dig deep to pay Laine and neither one of them is looking worth what they will want. Jones is UFA at the end. Might have to think about moving him before the shit hits the fan if he doesn't get it together.

Once those two get their heads out of their asses and once we actually have a guy who can finish we could do some damage. Team is only really firing on half cylinders right now and we're on top of the division. Power Play is worst in the league at the moment too.

Both our goalies are making huge stops. Joonas has been bubble Joonas and Elvis had .940 sv% on the season right before he brain farted twice in the third and that was with his dismal opening game. Not exactly sure how you calculate goals saved above expected beyond an NHL goalie should be expected to save 90%. Should get another nice haul when it's time to move one of them.
