Why We Should Welcome Back Artemi Panarin With Open, Appreciative Arms

Artemi Panarin in an interview about how his life has changed:
"I have a house with a garage, it's so different"

Columbus fans:
We hAvE GaRaGeS!!! YYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHH

Most talented player to ever wear our jersey and the fucknuts are gonna boo him.
If I were attending, I'd probably neither cheer nor boo. I appreciate what he did here, and he was pretty respectable and everything the whole time, but he was only here a couple years. It's not like he put a ton of time in the Union Blue.

I wonder what type of reception Bob will have. Should be cheers, but a lit of people are salty about him. If Nash got boos, he will.

I would cheer during the tribute video. And then I would not react to him the same way I would not react to Mika Zabinejad. They're opponents. Unless they did something nasty, they don't matter. But he's gonna get boos rained on him because mouth breathers are pissed off about a garage.

And Portzline will write a story about Bob leading up to it and it will stoke up the anger again. A guy who grew up in Siberia wants to live on a beach. He earned the right to make that happen. End of story. But that won't be enough. And it's the same. Cheer him during the tribute video and unless he hacks someone across the face, ignored.

Personally I want Bob in that game. He's still struggling. I want him to hear that cannon from the other side. A lot.

do you.... not have garages in C'lumbus?
Apartments you rent downtown when you plan on moving in a couple years usually don't.

I park IN a "garage", but I don't have one

got it. so presumably like any other city in north america, if you live 5-20 minutes outside downtown core, you can have a house/yard/garage, etc.

Pretty much anywhere east of 71, west of the river, north of 670, and South of 70 (those are pretty much the boundaries of downtown) will have houses and yards. Garages are a little more rare until you get about 10+ minutes out. My friends have a small one, and they're about 5 minutes out.

BUT HE WANTED TO LIVE IN NYC AND HE LIVES IN CONNECTICUT! HyPoCrItE!1!11!

Yeah, Columbus is more compact in terms of Downtown core" vs "Suburbs" than most cities. I am 13 miles by highway from the Arena downtown and 3 miles further out than me is corn fields (well, it was. It's all being bulldozed for hipster flats). Some Jackets players live out in Delaware, OH which is about the same distance from NWA as Greenwich is from MSG. A lot of others live in Upper Arlington which is like 5 miles from NWA and is the quintessential old suburb that the city grew around. We almost bought a house there, but got a better deal on where we wound up.

At least a few live in the same building Bob did.

Yeah, the young unattached guys do seem to live downtown. The ones with families are in UA or Delaware.

Good luck, kid.

This kid could be a stud for sure. Really impressed me at rookie camp and Traverse city.

John Davidson just teared up sitting down with Jarmo and Jody Shelley talking about how much he misses Columbus and how much he loved it here. He went on to say that Panarin loved it here to, but like him there are dreams and you have to make a decision when they are presented to you. And it's not easy. Wasn't for him. Wasn't for Artemi.

Jarmo said there are no hard feelings with Panarin. He earned the right to make that choice and he said it wasn't easy. They almost had him staying.

I mean...
BOOOOOOOOO

WE HAVE GARAGES TOO

We boo'ed Rick Nash. He scored against us.
We boo Jeff Carter. He always scores against us.
We boo Jack Johnson. He plays well against us.
Now we've boo'ed Panarin and, shocker of shockers, he scored against us.

I feel like we should do something different.

I know! Bitch louder about garages!

By the way Jackets lead in shots 28 to 17. Naturally down 3-1.

Shots:
CBJ - 48
NYR - 19

Score:
CBJ - 2
NYR - 3

The problem is we aren't generating chances. Not that we have substandard goaltending.
