FINAL: Blue Jackets earn third place in prospects tourney with OT win

Sexy Texy said at the end of the Boston series that he felt he got pushed around. So he spent the summer bulking up and working on being stronger on his skates. He also worked on learning the position of Center in the NHL.

He just finished the prospects tourney with 4g 2a and 2 OT winners.

And two guys who weren't really on the radar 3 months ago (Korostolev and Sokolov) had 5 points and 4 goals respectively playing with him.

Sokolov is 6'4" and 230.

Preseason games could be interesting...some spaces to fill, and young, hungry guys looking to get some ice time.

The Blue Jackets placed defenseman Adam Clendening, center Zac Dalpe, left wing Markus Hannikainen and center Ryan MacInnis on waivers for the purpose of assignment to the Cleveland Monsters, the club's American Hockey League affiliate. In addition, Columbus has assigned defenseman Doyle Somerby and goaltender Veini Vehvilainen to Cleveland.

I hope Hannakeinen clears. He's a good, cheap versatile winger.
