A lot of people shit on Travis and his system, but Tocchet more than once has mentioned when he came on board he went and asked Travis about the personnel, skill sets, what he thought of certain players (Operation Slapshot co-defendants gambling buddies of course). And really they are cut from the same cloth in terms of trying to put a defensively accountable structure in place. Players eventually tuned Green out ... the difference though is there are better more committed players here now ... and more respected assistant coaches

The Oilers have been playing better of late, but I also think it has been a case of teams coming in thinking it's going to be an easy night. The Hurricanes were godawful last night. I want the Oilers to either just miss the playoffs or get eliminated in the first round, we don't want another high draft pick ending up in Edmonton.
