Are you sure? "Mario" is a LOT bigger than the Canuck. Looks like an imposter to me!

On a serious note, for Mario to be that big and gifted with such silky mitts is incredible. Current day comparable to me is Erling Haaland of Man City, so big yet so skilled.

was thinking that myself. he towers over Steamer (who I know is not that big) and man has equipment changed dramatically since then

This game was so fun 5 on 5, then it got ref-showed (not a word, but I don’t care).

Pretty obvious after last night but

Maker >= Hughes*

But Nurse gets some consideration too as he could beat both of them up I think

Avs are a pretty good team and the Canucks have cooled a little from the heater they were on. I wouldn't be too concerned.

yeah we will see how the rest of this month goes, but they better find it soon or that fast start will be a memory by the end of Dec

while I have enjoyed this I am a canucks fan and ultimately feel it's a smoke show and the true team will show itself in the long run and miss the playoffs.. that is 53 years of canucks hockey

I thought they ran pretty well with the Avs last night in the first period.
Didn't take advantage of the major penalty opportunity (like what the fuck?), and all of those penalties completely killed the flow of the game.
And the the JT Miller giveaway was just a dagger.

Avs are a very tough test, and I though they showed pretty well.

But also yes, I could see how they could still be tired
11 games in 20 nights so far. And a back to back with travel up next.

They get the 5 minute major “advantage” and it turns out with the calls they get against them after … not even one second on the power play that whole 5 minutes :L

Not to keep loading up excuses but also Denver is tough to play in.

But Colorado is banged up pretty much everywhere and there isn’t much top tier forward talent to deal with (although Makar is just on another planet right now). You’d want this one a bit closer I think.

Biggest concern is Demko’s come back down to earth. He’s a respectable .915 for the month of November which is good for 11th in the league among goalies with at least 4 starts but goes to show that a lot of the early wind was Demko playing out of this world.

More concerned about this

Based on how many Canucks defensemen are currently in sickbay, it looks like they will have to continue this production.
