man it seems impossible to believe this is "total". Torts has these guys by the short hairs and has no reason to give in.

I have to admit seeing Torts canned again is no surprise but I feel bad for the guy. I'm probably one of his few supporters and hate to see him go. I don't believe in his game philosophy i.e. block shots all nite and think you can win , but I do love his attitude and hot head mentality. I know visiting the opposition locker room wasn't his shining moment but I love guys like that. I wonder if he's worn out his welcome as a head coach and is banished to the tv booth from here on out.

this isnt about giving in ... whatever he would be getting paid would be based on the existing clause in his contract ... there were reports it was a 50% buyout clause so perhaps that was wrong (or this 1.6 mill figure is wrong - would be 20% buyout)
