That is silly. They already announced he will not go on their west coast road trip so that means the earliest he could come back is with 12 games remaining. Mathematically they will still be alive by then but how many teams would they have to pass to get into a playoff spot?

I don't really want to argue this, the Canadiens have drafted pretty terribly as long as I have followed them, but their #1 last year played in the NHL all year and the #1 this year is playing college ball err puck.

As long as #25 Ryan Poeling makes the team all is well. Hey, can anyone north of the border get jersey nameplates cheap? I have a couple #25 Habs jerseys.....

Wellll, I hate to be the guy defending the Habs, but...

Their 2018 1st pick wasn't playing because it's a rookie tournament and he no longer qualifies. Their 2019 can't play without voiding his NCAA eligibility. He intends to play in the NCAA this year at least, or timbits. Not sure about that one.

No surprise at all, really. The only city that would be tougher on its players than Toronto.

Other than Phoenix, Carolina is the furthest thing from a hockey-mad hotbed like Toronto or Montreal. Can't blame the guy for wanting out of the insanity.

Growing up, the world was very different. Being a sports fan was very different. You loved your guys and hated everyone else. Especially if they were good.

But the one guy I never disliked, and always was impressed by, was Guy Lafleur. Hoping les docteurs fix him up and he goes on to a long and prosperous life with his loved ones.
