Doob's take
Big game for the Blue Jackets. In their last game they were able to keep composure and put away the Flyers in spite of blowing a 2 goal lead and losing Marian Gaborik to injury. Now they go on the road to face another team on the cusp of playoff position. I think it means more to the Blue Jackets to go into the break with momentum, so I expect a hard fought game but the BJ's prevail 4-3.

Jack Skillington and Derek MacKenzie come back tonight for the Jackets, which will be nice. Skille has been playing pretty well and Mac has a ton of energy.

I think the Jackets are playing a little tight in front of Tabasco, but I can't complain about it because if they can keep some semblance of a defensive system when Bob comes back, they should do well. They are grinding them out lately, that's for sure.

And where did you get that projected lineup? Johansen third line center between two plugs?

Yeah he's not playing with those guys, especially since he's leading the team in scoring

If I was filling out the card, I'd go:
Foligno - Johansen - Umberger
Anisimov - Dubinski - Atkinson
Comeau - Jenner - Tropp
MacKenzie - Letestu -Skille

Calvert is out 3 weeks with a jacked up shoulder now too.

Damn, well done.

It was a battle. Jack Skellington with the game winner on a beauty pass by Anismov. Which came a minute and 8 seconds after Fo-LEEN-O made a ridiculous pass to Johansen for his 15th of the year, in the 37th game. He had 5 in 40 games last year.

McKenna with his first win as a Blue Jacket and Corey Tropp got his first goal as a Jacket. Solid performance all the way around.

Why thank you, the Doobster will admit his predictions on based on the results of NHL 14 games tho, so it's really blind luck LOL

Not bad for a guy who thought Ryan Johansen was on the 3rd line, eh?

I got that off-black Cadillac, midnight drive
I got that gas pedal, leaned back, taking my time
I’m rollin' out, roof off, letting in sky
I shine, the city never looked so bright

I think if Columbus can ever stay healthy and get their guys back, I think they're better than Carolina
