How does the Utah fan base feel about OOC opponents? Do they prefer a good OOC opponent or is any opponent sufficient?
the school seems to count BYU as their big dog. in years they have BYU the rest is FCS and Mountain West schools.
there was 2 years when their contract was off and they played Michigan

those are completely non symmetric comparisons.
So 7 is almost 5 but 9 is not almost 7.
One is off by 29% while the other is off by 22%.

Oregon only won 7 games, pretty much. Right?

So in your opinion 9 is not almost 7?

arguing Oregon only won 7 when they in fact won 9
vs
dont play almost half and saying 5 is almost 7.

I know that. What I was asking is what the fan base "prefers", not what they are getting.

I just can't believe fan bases prefer to see their teams slaughter FCS and crummy G5 schools like my Miners in OOC games. IMO the majority of fans are just tolerating it while the ADs have sold them a pig in a poke. JMO

Oregons win total is a fact of what they did.

Stating 5 is almost 7 is an opinion. and id bet a lot of people would consider the closeness to be accurate.

you also cant take it backwards. 7 is not almost 5 but 5 is almost 7.
if you go to the store and ask for a pound of meat and they cut it to .98 you have almost a pound. but if they give you 1.1 you have more than a pound not almost a pound.

5 is closer to 1/4 of 14 than 1/2 but whatever makes you feel better about yourself knock yourself out.

So 7 is half of 14 isn’t a fact. Stating Oregon pretty much only won 7 games is an opinion and is close enough to true.

So you can almost win a game but can’t almost lose a game.

In my opinion if I had $5 and something cost $7, I would think shit I don't have enough money cause it costs $7 and I only have $5.
Don’t worry, the company will let you buy it anyways because $5 and $7 is pretty much the same.

7 is half of 14. fact
5 is almost that is an opinion that some would hold.
you could say oregon pretty much only won 7 games as your opinion and it would be wrong.

So what you are saying is you can’t say they don’t play almost when in fact they actually play over half.
