There are so many good RBs coming out.

Todd Gurley
Melvin Gordon
The kid from TCU
Duke Johnson

I am leaving out 3-4 more badasses

Gurley injured his knee yesterday, haven't heard any update yet.

Gordon broke that record in 3 quarters; he sat out the fourth. 408 yards in 3 quarters against a supposed #16 team lol.

Don't forget TJ Yeldon. Dalvin Cook of the Seminoles is a few years away from being draft eligible (true freshman), but man is that kid quick.

Not impressed with Miss St offense at all. They were scared and the play calling was Schottenheimer like.

I'm not overly impressed with BAMA either. Now SS Landon Collins and WR Amari Cooper is was very impressed with. They both deserve to be on the beast list.

Nick Perry and Eddie Jackson both played very well yesterday also.

FSU dances on the line and barely wins again.

We are going to lose soon. We are totally playing to our evel of competition.

Then again... I've been thinking we might lose for 28 games in a row!!

Some dude (RB Oklahoma) broke Melvin Gordon's record today.

That is why you should have left Gordon in the game last week!

If Jameis somehow would drop to late teens in the 1st round, I hope the Rams jump all over it and get him.

Now if Snisher can pull a trade in the first round like they did for Austin to get Marriotta, I'd support that but only for him. If they can't, then I hope they select Petty where we will be like mid pack in the first.

I'll be on the game thread, even if it's in "enemy territory." The Raider threads aren't that active, nothing like the Laker ones.

Updated list on my evaluation of talent at the next level:

Marriotta - Ducks
Winston - Noles
Hundley - UCLA
Bryce Petty- Baylor

Sean Mannion - Beavers
Rakeem Cato - Marshall
Brandon Bridge - South Alabama

Bo Wallace - Ole Miss
Dak Prescott - Mississippi St - my guess is he stays in school
Nick Marshall - Auburn
Chuckie Keaton - Utah St.
Garrett Grayson - CSU
Cody Fajardo - Nevada

the top 4 are really good. the next 3 could be sneaky good and the last bunch - it's a guessing game.

Frankly,

I'm shocked that Vita and KSU are not on the Hundley wagon. Usually I am not the one believing hype, but this is why I like Brett Hundley:

He a superb athlete, raw and has a huge upside. Hurdles defenders, dives for first downs and complete passes all over the field. Good leader. 6'3 / 6'4 227 whatever.. Good arm, needs work in the pocket, but has sneaky speed and needs to learn and watch film.

#1 @ Washington. Huskies have 3 first rounders on their D - Danny Shelton, Shaq Thompson, and Marcus Peters - who was suspended earlier in the week. The secondary for Washington was thin and Hauoli Kikaha went out early in the game, but still this D is pretty solid. BH had 2 TDs, ZERO INTs, 29/36 for 300 yards. That Washington D is no cupcake defense.

#2 USC - BH put up 326 yards 3 TDs was 22/34 and overcame 2 turnovers

#3 @ ASU - 18/23 355 yards 4 TDs, 0 INTs

Hundley is starting to mature and come into his own. With his size and mobility, I think after the combine he shoots up draft boards.

What am I not seeing? He played the best teams in the PAC 10 on the road and UCLA blew them out. Oregon at home BH wasn't awful, he had good numbers, but 1 INT and 1 costly fumble.

What about Bryan Bennett (SE La)? Oregon recruit that transferred when Mariota won the job. Dual threat and team leader with solid passing skills. He would be a late round pick most likely, unless he impresses at the combine. Haven't actually seen him play (SE La not exactly a hot team for TV lol), basing this on CBS' profile.

Shop that list is an early list. We still have a few weeks as Jacob says. But we should add him to the list for sure.

It's not that I couldn't get on the wagon but I ain't driving it! Brett is all you say and more. You missed on the fact that he has it between the ears bones. So he is very smart and a good kid.

Brett and Marcus Marriota are a lot alike except MM is more polished, much faster and has greater escapability where Brett has better size & strength, is more elusive and by far has greater up side. My concerns with MM are mostly a question about the system he is in. Is MM much more than just a fine product of the great 'system' Chip Kelly had installed at Oregon or whether or not MM can succeed in other offensive systems? :noidea: I'm pretty sure he will be good enough but will he be worth the high draft pick he will get or will he become an RGIII type?

There are rarely sure fire Pro Bowl type guys who enter the NFL at any position in the first round. The last QB, in my estimation was Andrew Luck. Prior to that, I may have to go back a little bit but it could be Matt Stafford, even then we are still waiting for Matt's playoff run, aren't we.

Long term Brett Hundley may be the best QB on your list. Winston can be a lot like a Donovan McNabb type if he keeps his head straight and Sean Mannion may be able to help a team like ours in Week 1 of his rookie year and could be a lot like a Joe Flaco type or even a Tom Brady type if he doesn't get run out of the NFL or relegated to a career backup if he doesn't find good success early.

My take on Hundley, he may still be a year of two away before he BEGINS to be the QB that WE need behind center. He's not that pocket passer that fits well in the Fisher system. Even still, if Brett can learn to keep his eyes down field, learns to throw the ball away with he's got nothing not even a scramble, learns to drop a pass deep down field into tight coverages and most importantly learns to stop hanging onto the ball forever in the backfield all the time, he could be a lot like a Steve McNair type. With that in mind, don't you think for a minute that Snisher doesn't know this...

With the project side of Brett Hundley, I'm just not sure if Kevin Demoff, Stan Kroenke nor the Rams fan base will have the patience with Snisher for another couple of seasons or more of just missing the playoffs.

We have to hang in there because as Howie Long has stated numerous times, "The Rams are close".
