Winston with 3 INTs in the 1st Q, Hundley didn't look great against Stanford either.

Thanksgiving weekend college football! Have a good one fellas.

Ya I don't like Winstons decision making. I don't think it's going to get any better in the NFL either. Defenses are so much better on the NFL level, i just don't see him making the jump to the next level.

That said, how many NFL teams are happy with their running QBs? Just Seattle really, and Wilson isn't quick to run and can actually read a defense. I'm not sold on these running QBs in the draft either, and Mariota's system worries me. He's played in essentially the same 1 read system in high school and college. The NFL could be a shock.

Winston is not a scrambling QB. He is a Big Ben type QB that is good in the pocket, hard to bring down, and very accurate when he wants to be. He needs to learn not to force things tho. The last few weeks he has gotten off to a rough start, but he finished strong and he's still NEVER been beaten.

Ponder this, FSU has faced at least 5-6 teams this year coming off their bye weeks. So basically 5-6 teams have had 2 weeks to prepare for FSU.

I would rather have Marriota, but Winston wouldn't be horrible. The kid is a player.

Kaep and Cam Newton are players too. Doesn't mean they're that good at QB in the NFL.

You would take Kaepernick or Cam Newton right now
And you know it. Both have been to the playoffs.

And I would give up
A 1st and 2nd for Marriota. But it would take a little more to get him and I dunno about that yet.

If we can't get Mariota with some picks, I say we hold tight and go after Hundley or Petty later.

I understand about Winston, and have compared him to Ben before. I was more referring to the other QBs that do run more frequently.

I wouldn't take Kaep on his current contract. Cam maybe, but I need to see some signs, as he has really regressed this year as well. QBs that rely on the run in the NFL get beat to a pulp.

I agree with retro... Rams need to focus on one of three QB's in this draft. Mariota, Hundley or Petty. If all 3 of those guys are gone when we pick in the 3rd round (which I do not think will be the case) the Rams FO needs to make sure that Keenum is back as I still think he would be better under center than either Davis or Hill (who will both be gone imo). This is assuming of course that they cut, and then resign, Bradford as well. If you have Bradford and Keenum and do not get one of the three mentioned, you can take a flyer on a late round guy like the cat from Marshall or Garett Grayson from Colorado St.

I would give up the Farm for him. We've the youngest team in the league. We can fill positions of need via FA

Taking Kaepernick on this current contract is iffy. But that lockerroom is in shambles right now. I've seen Kaep's best and his worst. I believe he led the 49ers to back to back NFC Championships? Think about the 49ers right now and ALL those weapons. Vernon Davis has turned into a non-factor, almost like his days when Singletary was there. They are loaded at WR, RB, but have some injuries on the O-line.

Cam lost Steve Smith who was the guts of that team. They were dirty, but they played in some playoffs games as well.

Both teams had good defenses too, but they scored points too.

As far as Jamies, yeah he needs to mature. But the kid keeps winning and he keeps coming back from deficits! lol His accuracy is really good, but lately he has been forcing throws.

He will learn. He needs a good coach and cast to help him down the road, but the kid competes..

Oh and he still hasn't lost a game! Not since high school and only lost 1 game his junior/senior year at that.

Is this homerism? lol Nah cuz I would take Marriota all day. But I think Jameis can be a very good pro as well.

Well think about it like this SJ. He hasn't lost many games in his collegiate career and he's a handful. I don't base a mans success on his victories but what he does with his losses. I have a feeling he wouldn't fair well on a team like the Rams who struggle week in week out.

HUH? lol So if he doesn't lose what is your basis? :pound:

That's the point! He hates to lose. That's all ATTITUDE and it's contagious, especially when it's your QB! And the Rams are getting better. They are improving and already have beat some of the better teams in the league with a 3rd stringer and a lifetime back up QB.
