Check this out. TAMU has 4 OOC games vs Washington's 3 OCC games ... and yes, UCLA is a crap team this year. The SEC teams usually schedule one decent OOC game and three sisters of the poor OOC game .. hence the reason that conference vote 13 - 1 in favor of a 8 game conference schedule.

The best OCC team you played is a 2-6 Rutgers team....UCLA, while 3-5, has 4 losses to ranked opponents. Don't think they were that crap until Rosen was knocked out. EDIT, Stanford isn't ranked, but still, not a pushover.

Washington has 10 starters on defense that are projected to get drafted according to Pro Football Focus. Washington has the #1 scoring defense in the PAC and the #1 scoring offense in the PAC.

UCLA is miles better than any OCC team Washington has played. Especially since the PAC is weak this year and so you do have to play any top 10 teams whereas A&M has had Bama and Auburn (11th)

I don't think anyone is saying you aren't good. But the schedule has played out well for you, so that helps you, but hurts others when they look at your quality of opponents. The USC game will be a good test, and the trip to Pullman could be interesting.

My point was/is both Washington and Texas A&M play cupcakes. I never said that Washington had a tougher SOS. I said that the Aggies SOS is not any better than the Huskies.

Washington beat Stanford 44 - 6. Last time I checked, TAMU went into OT with the Vols... the same Vols that got waxed by South Carolina.

Stanford may be down this year but I can't imagine them losing to South Carolina. If Stanford played Tennessee right now it would probably be a toss up

The NCAA striclty uses a win - loss record for their formula. There's a reason the SEC chooses to play an 8 game conference schedule. They schedule one decent OOC game and three sisters of the poor. That does a few things for that conference. First off it prevents more losses within that conference, and it helps the lesser teams in the SEC get bowl eligible.

And as everyone told you last night, UW and A&M have each played 3 OOC. Games played is all that the rankings look at. So when we play our 4th OOC, the story will change.

Agree ^^ ... although Rutgers was going bowling on a regular basis at the time that home & away series was scheduled. I doubt Washington saw ahead where Rutgers would win the Fulmer Cup and take a nose dive within a span of two years.

I think too many people were looking at that game as a good win for Arkie...which turned out to be fool's gold. TCU isn't very good. Look at their results against might Kansas and Texas Tech! This may turn out to be one of Patterson's worst teams!
