The worst thing that can happen to Matt Barkley's stock today is for Max Wittek and USC's offense to have a huge game against ND's defense and win.
Tyler Bray is going off today. 18-27, 254 yards, 4 TDs. His 4th TD just went to Patterson. Had a long one to Hunter earlier.
I still don't understand how Derek Dooley only won 5 games with this team.
Defense was not very good, and Bray is not always consistent. I personally feel Bray should stay for his Senior season as I don't see him right now as a very good NFL QB.
Anyway Georgia handled their business so assuming Alabama does it looks like the National Title game may very well be next week in Atlanta. I really don't see Notre Dame being able to beat either of those 2 SEC Teams assuming they don't slip up to USC tonight.
Bjorn Werner just beat Florida's RT around the edge for a sack. That's 10.5 for him on the season.
Ugh, one of the most overrated players in the draft. He does some nice things, and he still hasn't reached his ceiling, but people are talking about him as a top-15 player. No way.
If anyone is watching the Stanford-Ucla game, check out #93 Trent Murphy today. I don't know why he doesn't get more attention? He's going t be a hell of a olb on a 3-4 team. I hope we can get him at the end of the 3rd.
I know helacks pass rush moves and can get better with his hands, but he is a monster.
9.5 sacks so far this season, plus excellent against the run.
For some reason Chase Thomas got all the attention this season, but Murphy is the better prospect IMO. I'm not really interested in either one though. I'm more interested Tyler Bray, depth on the DL, a situational pass-rusher... I actually think trading up would be a good idea this offseason; if they do they won't be making too many mid-range selections.
Thats where Murphy fits in perfectly.
