No, but a lot of people who still have key ignitions tend to get their cars stolen here that way.

Here, not sure if its a state law or just a county law but here they can ticket you $70 and add a point to your license.

I think it's actually illegal to leave an unattended car running in a lot of states. I just don't think it's generally enforced during cold weather when someone is clearly just letting it warm up a bit.

Well, we do have anti-idling laws but I've never actually seen them enforced.

I started my car once in the summer then got a phone call and 30 seconds later a woman came over to me from her front porch and asked me to turn off my engine. I really wished she was a man so I could've bitch slapped him.

I do not think so either, but this week the police have stated they will be enforcing it. I get the logic behind it, I guess.
